Does society force good looking kids to become stupid?

Let's look at a typical girl ANU. When she was 3 years old, everyone was charmed by her twinkling eyes. She was like the Nepali version of Joan Bennett Ramsey. Anu's father Rabin pampered her as much as possible. All the relatives were vying for her attention when they came to Rabin's place.

As she grew older, even her teachers were fond of her because of her good looks. Many students tried to become her friend because of her charming looks. She was pampered by her family, her relatives, her teachers and her friends. When she was in her late teens guys would make it a point to pass by her class just to get one look. If her eyes met any other guys then the guy would consider himself lucky and feel butterflies running in their stomach. She had everything because anyone would be happy to give her a ride, take her to dinner or lunch, buy her presents. She didn't have to make too much effort to do anything.

She was offered lucrative positions at local jewellery shops and other department stores. The CEO of the Department store saw her at her desk and was immediately charmed by her looks. The CEO invited her to his house and there she met Anthony, the CEO's son who was immediately in love with her.

Rabin was thrilled about having his daughter married to a Billionaire's son.

After a year Anu gave birth to a handsome boy, Zach. Years flew by and Zach started talking. Being inquisitive he asked Anu a lot of questions.

As he grew up in his school as a normal teenager, he found the following things about his mom:

- she was bad in mathematics
- she sucked at geography
- she had no idea about politics
- she had no clue who saddam hussein was
- she thought sports was name of a car

Moral of the story: Society forces good looking people to be stupid because they don't have to make any efforts. :)

Inverse corollary: Ugly people are smarter because they have to work to get noticed and to do well in life.

And good that you did not say "Theory" ...  and just said "Moral of the story" because there can be some exceptionals ...

BTW, here is inverse of "inverse corollary": There are more ugly and stupid people than beautiful and smart people.

 

interesting......but i don't know whether it's about being smarter. it could be just that attractive people might be

lazier, because they can jump through hoops easily. and a life of laziness in the long run does lead to stupidity. also

i don't really think it is limited to sex because men can be in the same boat.....but as we know a women's beauty

has most of the time overshadowed men's good looks....and time and again, women have taken advantage of this

situation, which is very unfortunate......but this does not really reflect all the ladies because there equally smart

females who are hard working and beautiful ...

so for unattractive people to get somewhere, they just have to work a lot harder.......ultimately, survival of the

fittest.

 They are Too Much... One of My Teamlead is a Black Guy.. He is the one who Ask lot of Questions and Bothers me a lot. I would have quit the job within a week if 10 project leads whom i work with would have been like that.....

not only inversely proportional, beauty of one subject can potentially dominate the brain of other subjects although in rare instances the occurrence of opposite is somewhat likely but it's just unproven and hypothetical as of now...also scientists do claim that they are mutually inclusive meaning they can co-exist in a single subject.

then B is inversely proportional to b.

Ratobhaley, according to the several researches that have been done looks and smartness are not correlated. But if you look at people's views than upto a certain level they think that the better looking people are.. the smarter they are... but after a certain level of good lookingness, people get dumber. Its like an inverted U graph. So being ugly will actually make people think you are dumb.. and being too good looking too. So the best bet is for people who are average.

Actully , i guess this apply for girls more than boys.  idon't totally disagree that this doesn't apply to boys but girls are more victim of this theory. who ever girls i know in Virginia ...they all are suitable for this theory..sorry i can't take their name here
