Well CAAN does not have any regulation regarding experimental aircraft . And this is not even classified as an aircraft by ICAO or FAA .( two major aviation regulators ) . Its very understandable that CAAN does not want to authorise something that they are not sure of .
I would recomend these guys to take this propelled glider to some place where they do have a runway but its not manned and they can do their test flight out there . its not even a big issue . but i guess every one wants glory .Its no rocket science .If CAAN does not allow it , then juss drive a couple of hr's to terai and do your test flight out there .
Alexander Maximov should know better on this , or may be he's juss not interested in it . If he did his AIP class ,he should know better than what happened and what the regulations say in nepal . Sorry , but i guess he was asleep .
These guys should juss contact some one who knows about flying in nepal , and they will tell you , how to go around the system , rather than bitching about CAAN not providing them with adequate support .
Anyways .. If they need help , mail me ... I'll tell you how to go around it , dont have to be a genius for that ... Well if these kids are looking for some glory "aaaaa " not sure anyone would come forward to help ..I am pretty sure CAAN won't authorise this , and i understand where they comming from .
Good job with the project though . Keep up the good work ...
