My spouse had applied for status change from b1 to f2 with me as f1. But when we get the approval letter from uscis it says the class of visa of my spouse is f1. And the dependant i-20 which was sent to uscis also has written "c/s from b1 to f1 for d/s ". is it okay or it is a mistake? we are confused. is my spouse has f1 status or f2 now. any sajha lawyer or who has been through this please help us.
thank you

Phamacology bro,It is surely a mistake or a typo. Don't wait for any Sajha Lawyers; call the USCIS immediately and explain them the problem. You can find their number in your approval notice where it saysto call them immediately if there is any mistake on the approval notice. Good Luck.

one more thing , the receipt notice we received just after filing the case has clearly written in it the class of visa class requested is f2. so only this time in the approval notice it is written f1. so in my guess too its a mistake. so what will happen in this case-scenario? will we have to go through tough time to resolve this or it will easily be rectified? worried.
thank you for happy face for suggestions , bro you made me happy

Pramacology,You do not have to go through any kind of problem or hassle. They are pretty helpful people,at least that is my experience with them. When you call them, explain every thing in detail andslowly. I am not sure how the process works, but I assume they will ask you to send themthe mistaken approval notice and they will mail you back the correct one shortly. Not worry abt this. But act fast.

Hi pharmacology, I just got the same exact letter in my mail as you did so many years ago. My wife who we had applied as F2 as my dependant, and I had applied for F1 for myself ( change of status from B2), my wife is alps listed as f1 on the approval notice that we received today. Can you please tell me how you resolved this issue? What should I do? Please do reply back as I'm very worried. Thanks!
