i just got internet connection at my apartment and i am the only user. i was wondering if there is any difference in speed using wireless connection using router and LAN cable hooked to the modem.

please provide me with suggestions as i am not aware if there will be difference in speed of wireless from router and LAN cable.

You don't need to wirelss router. Just hook the cable. Unless you  got money to burn or need to move around with your laptop around the house.

no difference.. go wireless... less clutter and less messy desks.

i do have a wireless router. i looked up the price for LAN cable and its $5 for 25 feet cable which is sufficient from the living room(modem) to my room. i am willing to spend $5 on the LAN cable if there is significant difference in the speed.

Go wireless dude..there should not be any difference unless u buy cheap router with no good range..

just imagine.with wireless u can take laptop to restroom, to the kitchen..watch porn from the closet..take laptop to shower(waterproof only),take laptop in bedroom wars with gf (bulletproof only)..sit in balcony,check some hot chicks,smoke zee and post message in sajha at same time...wowow..think abt it!
