The First Annual Meeting of the

American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr)

slated to take place on July 04 & 05 at the 2008 ANA Convention

American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) is a non-profit organization formally launched at the first general organizational meeting held on September 02, 2007 at the 2007 NASeA–ANMA Joint Convention in Atlanta, GA and later officially registered (incorporated) in the State of South Carolina on September 24, 2007. The Society has been established to provide a platform for Nepalese and friends of Nepal, who are engineers and professionals in the closely related scientific and technical areas to come together, exchange ideas, and support each other for theirs and society’s common good. The Society also strives to promote engineering and technological advancement in Nepal.  More information on ASNEngr can be found on the Society’s website at http://www.ASNEngr.org.

Under the leadership of its Steering Committee, an interim governing body, chaired by Ramesh B. Malla, Ph.D. of Connecticut, the Society has attained significant achievements during its first year of operation. In order to move ahead with more vigor and full strength, the Society will hold its first Annual Meeting on Friday, July 4 and Saturday July 5, 2008 to discuss and plan for its future activities. The venue for the ASNEngr annual meeting will be at the ANA Convention in the greater Baltimore, Maryland area (website: www.ana-convention.org). On July 4th, a brief introductory presentation about the Society will be made at the General Assembly of the ANA Convention scheduled from 3PM-5PM. After this, the Society’s official program will begin at 5PM with a short planning meeting of the current Steering Committee followed by the Opening and Technical program and will run until 7PM. On July 5th, from 1PM to 4PM, there will be the general meeting of the Society’s membership, election of the very first slate of regular executive officers and at-large members of the Board of Directors, and the business meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors.

All members and friends of Nepalese engineering and scientific communities are invited and welcome to attend this historic event and become members of the Society. Since the first call for official membership in the Society was announced in February of this year, there has been extremely enthusiastic response. The Membership application form and detail information on the Society and updates on the recent activities and the annual meeting program schedule can be found on the Society’s website www.ASNEngr.org.

by joining this grop we help our brothers and sisters.  You can join IEEE, NASA, ISET but joining this group is for the people who need help and direction.  Unlike me I graduated out of 2 yr college with 84 credits..if I had directions and ppl to help me it would have made difference.  We have to make a difference that is why we are here.
