folks, i want to order something from e-bay ( shipped from Hong Kong) and get that delivered to Pos box at Kathmandu. How safe is this? I have heard about "not so professional " deeds from post office workers..Can you please share your past experiences ( if any) or nobel suggestions..

thanks as always..

No personal experience of your kind of tranasction, but only similar. EU to Nepal.

1. Customs is hassle. There is no single person or entity who can tell anyone the exact of customs to be paid.

2. Storage and handling: because a lot of NGO and INGO goods, are lying about in customs godown at TIA, your could be 'lost'. Has happened to mine. And someone came forward with an 'offer' to find it for a fee. Apparently they had kept it aside to make some extra quick Rupees.

3. Goods are NOT delivered to PO boxes. Only documents (in envelopes) received by the GPO. So, if it is a boxed package, it will be 'lost' in customs godown at TIA.

My opinion, seek alternate methods.
