What a great family value Sarah Palin has, her teen daughter is pregnent and her husband has DUI.

Yeah mansion, 17 year old and pregnant and you don't see that as a problem? I hope your daughter gets pregnant when she is 17. Conservatives clowns always find a way to justify their mistakes. It is the conservatives that preach others about family values and when their own family values are not up to par, then make the issue about other non-issues.

Remember in 2000 republican primaries in SC, Bush and his cornies went after John Mccain and told the people that he had a black child....actually the black child was an adopted Bangladeshi kid.

Its totally a family matter.

It's her family affairs and they will solve the way they feel right.  Even Obama came and said this  is off limits. His mother was also pregnant when she was just 18 that also without the wed lock.  It is wrong to judge the person morally especially in this matter when the whole American family is related with this issue one way or around regardless of  races or parties.
Over here if your teenage daughter  or any adult daughter becomes pregnant without wedlock, the family supports  the girl's decision and think it is morally right to do.

I agree it is a family matter and a personal choice, so is abortion. Imagine if this was the other way around and a democratice nominee's underage daughter was pregnant..... we would have seen James Dobson and Pat Robertson and the many nutcases on the right come out with full force.

Not that I am against or for any of these politicians these days, but please try to think it this way, if a person (Bill Clinton) who could not control HIMSELF, was good enough to be a president of the USA for 8 years. And there was another cheater (John Edwards), who almost made it as a vice president four years back and was a good candidate this time. We are talking about her daughter here, not HERSELF.

Lets face it, the USA has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the world. Those, who are talking about this and trying to make political profit need to check and control their own daughters and sons.

This is politics, the dirtiest game ever, and we expect the cleanest person ever to participate. Give me a break!

People should leave the candidates kids alone until and unless the  kids are campaigning like a politicians for their family. I am so sick of this dirty politics, as soon as she was elected for  VP, there was rumor and mudslinging to this family saying the down syndrome baby is not Sarah Palin's  rather it is her daughter.

Sumit's  analysis is so right. How can Sarha Palin's be judged from her daughter's action? About picking VP, both Obama and McCain  had choosen exactly the opposite  what they used to preach.

u r not understanding at all. having a kid is forever u have that kid and getting amrried at that young age is just isnt right.

Who said they are going to marry right at this time, i thought that they will eventually marry. I also don't think teenage pregnant is right but i am totally against bringing this family affairs into politics. When this whole country is related with this teenage  and adult pregnancy  without wedlock one way or around, it is just wrong to point this girl like some blogs and media are doing. It is  a typical American family story.

I still don't know who is going to win the election. When McCain  always has a hard time assuring the very conservatives ,it looks like Sarah Palin  is attracting them. She didn't abort the down syndrome baby and now the news of her daughter not aborting is attracting more conservative who are pro life.

Ha ha ha... family value my a$s... What a freaking hypocrisy it is. BTW, I wonder why is it that only the sons and daughters of the high ranking repubs who tend to defy their parents' values. Previously Dick Cheney's daughter now Sarah Palin's. There seems to be a trend here...

Ok fellows let me elaborate some points,

1. The republican always brag about their family values and this is the kind of family value they are setting as an example.
2. Sarah Palin is against the sex education (and apparently she did not teach the simplest thing to her daughter that if you have sex, you become pregnant), that means if she become the vice president or president (if Maccain dies in office), she might mandate no-sex education in high schools.
3. She is prolife, that means there has to be no abortion even in the life threatening pregnancy.
4. People care about her judgment as a mother because she is just not a hockey mom now; she is running for a highest office in the world.
5. Why people have double standard? When Britney Spears teen sister was pregnant, it was big deal for all (even though her mother was not running for the white house).
6. What would happen if Obama’s daughter was in the similar situation?
7.  Sarah has absolutely now foreign policy experience. Wait a second, that’s not true; she has a lot because she lives next to Russia.

I hope these are fair points.

Did i say all teenage American girls are pregnant?  If you look closely in the American family you will find this issue related with them one way or around  that might be  either with their mom,aunt,sister,cousin, or friend. Haven't you found any friend in the college who at least has given birth to a baby during their teenage years?Some choose to have an abortion and some choose to have a baby. I am now done with this issue.

Sarah Palin's 17 year-old daughter becoming pregnant becomes a moral issue not because you, I and the Democrats make it a moral issue.

It becomes a moral issue becuase the Republicans have always made it a moral issue.

It becomes a moral issue not because that 17 year-old's getting pregnant is going to make any difference in your lives or mine. It becomes a moral issue because it reeks of hypocrisy within the Republican party.

The Republicans can't get tired of blaming the 17 year-old black girls in the south side of Chicago or New York's Harlem for getting pregnant during teens.

And when Palin's daughter does the same thing as those black girls, suddenly she becomes unreproachable.

Those who have raised Palin's daughter's pregnancy as an issue are not saying the family should not support her. They are not saying it should be an election year political issue. They are talking about it because McCain's campain made it an issue -- by releasing a press statement saying that the girl is pregnant.

Why did McCain's campaign thing that you, I and the all the sundry had to know who is pregnant and who is not?

Her daughter's pregnancy don't matter a hoot with regards to her capability as VP(not that I want her and the flaky old dude to win). We need a team that solves problems, not inspire us with family values. We got enough knuckleheaded idiotic preachers for that!

Every teenager in the US (and for that matter in most places around the world) is humping. I guess that here in the US they are a little too rabbitty for their own good. That said, Palin's kid ran out of condoms. Her fault:  not making sure of constant supply of condoms, or morning-after pills. That is what she missed. Big miss? For her, yes. For the rest of us... ehhhh let it go! Stop blaming her for having sex at 17! Even the "Oysters down in Oyster Bay do it," so why not cute young Palin!

Family values? Not poking your nose into other people's bidness is one.

Being a staunch Obamaniac, I think this will shut Palin up about family values, and that is good. But I also think that Palin sr did not and will not let her daughter get rid of the baby, which actualy is a violation of palin jr's rights. hmmmm

No offense to anyone, not to Palin Jr in the least!

 

I now believe that McCain absolutely puts the country first, rather in an ironic way. McCain knows that if he wins this election, it would be disastrous for the country. In order to avoid that and ensure Obama's victory this fall, which he believes would be good for the future of the country, he picked Palin, an unknown governor from a state which as more caribou than people.

Just wait...her pastor, which would make Wright seem a totally normal person, is still to come. Her membership of the AIP (Alaska Independence Party), which wants to secede from the union is yet to make headlines. McCain camp now stalling the Palin's investigation over firing of the state trooper?? Seriously, how reckless could McCain become? As Obama said,  "McCain doesn't get it!!"

what and why is this topic all about. its good to have some knowledge about politics. but think the other way, do we not have enough to think about our political condition back home instead of wasting our time to this country. we dont have nothing to do with this. some of us dont even have any rights to vote. so why is all this arguement about. no matter who gets elected it will not be better for us. lets start thinking about our country and its political conditions. pleaseeee
