Hello Sajha ka Dhurandar sathi haru, I am planning to apply for Candian PR. I went through the official websites and few sajha threads related with it. However, I still have few queries in my mind. It will b great if you guys can help me to answer my following queries: 1. Can I apply for the PR with Toefl score (I mean is Ielts a must?)? I took Toefl 2 and half year ago and now I am studying Master's degree in an US university. Will this be good enough for me to prove my english skills for the PR? 2. I have some relatives in Canada. At such, how can I prove my relation with her? Will it be good if she writes a letter for me or is any official letters required on that regard? 3. How much time will it take for me to apply and get any response? Will they be checking any authenticity of my documents (for assumption: can we make any experience letter from Nepal to show our experiences, which we actually haven't earned?)? Your answers will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, first read this thread, and make sure your occupation is one of the 38 high-demand occupations in the list. http://sajha.com/sajha/html/OpenThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=67119 Answers to your questions: 1. Yes, that should be good enough. TOEFL is great.. 2. You should be able to proof the relationships by birth certificate of your relative and yours. 3. According to new direction as outlined in the thread link above... read properly.. now they can speed up the PR application processing.

Did you take this test for marks? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp But even before that, you should take the eligibility test at this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/tool/index.asp Regarding the proof of your relationship to your aunt... you have to provide your and aunt's birth-certificates. Since those certificates contain parents names... that may establish your relationship to your aunt (what kind of aunt?). otherwise consider even putting her marriage certificate, if you are related to her husband and so on.. until the relationship is bridged with required documents.

Hi Jire khursani, Usually, I have known some guys who have worked in UN (in Nepal) have migrated easily with their job status. And, it was easy for authority to believe such job. But, I wonder in your case. I don't know how these authority evaluates if some one has done job in private company, probably they will see the tax you paid to government or something like that.

Bhusiakukur: Your mother's sister certainly can get you 5 points under the Adaptability category. That should work great. In order to establish relationship.. be prepared with the birth certificates of yourself (your mom's name should be indicated), your mom and her sister (their both certificates certainly bear thier Dad's name), that way the relationshihp can be established. One more piece of docuemnt of your aunt might be needed, that is her marriage certificate.. because due to marriage her surname might have changed by now... so her marriage certificate will prove that change had occurred after marriage.
