What is the exam for the French Language ability check for Skilled worker like IELTS for english?
Should I have to give any special exam to show my proficiency in the language or any other courses that I have taken is all right for that?

Thanks

Thanks

If you donot appear for IELTS, they will grant you points based on your documents. Likewise, they will grant you points on French proficiency based on your document. But, you never know how  many points you deserve. It depends on how strong your proof is. And point varies from 0 to 8.

No I am giving IELTS but I have taken French Class before on Nepal. So I was thinking if I can get some points like 2-3 points from French as well. Is this Possible?

Thats what I am saying. You can not be certain about how many points you get unless you appear TEF. It all depends on the officer who evalutes your french proficeincy. If your points are sufficient or close to 67, i recommend you to send the proof of french class. But donot  hope for higher points. Even if you get 2,its fine.

And one more thing....... if you claim french proficiency, CIC will likely to ask your TEF score. If you donot respond them in 30 or 60 days (i donot remember), CIC will evaluate ur proficiency based on your documnet. This may delay ur processing. This is my personal experience (based on IELTS test.)
