Frens,
I am in F1 status since fall 2006. I was working in Oklahoma University as student worker and I filled tax last year for 2007 as non-resident aliens from cintax.com (student layers from same univeristy had helped to file). Now i have done my schooling in that univeristy but i still have some tax return for 2008. i am trying to file  through www.turbotax.com but there is on option for non-residence aliens(i am still in F1). I don't want to file as residence which i believe, hamper my status in INS. So what is the best solution in this case? Is there any easy way to file online for non-residence. If not what are the things i need to fill when doing paperbased?

I think you should file 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ. The F1 is considered a non-resident alien for tax purpose. If you had been here in H1 or other working visas and had met the residency requirement, you would have probably filed 1040 or 1040EZ.

To gain the residency status, one should be in the US for at least 183 days in three years (current tax year with the preceeding two years)

Cintax is the the best for students. I had used it while I was in school and it was free, provided by my school.
