That's messed up. Freedom to choose education is the right for every human being. I'd rather work towards converting Private schools into not- for - profit schools. that is, whatever monies  so called boarding school makes, should not go in the owner's pocket, rather re-invested in the school to improve the quality of education.

मन्त्री ज्युलाई मेरो सानो आग्रह,

यो सरकारी तलब खाने कर्मचारीको छोराछोरीलाई बोर्डिङमा पढाउन नदिने भन्ने नियम ल्याउनु भन्दा सरकारी स्कुलहरुको स्तर के गरी सुधार्न सकिन्छ त्यस्मा ध्यान दियो भने कसो होला? मन्त्रीज्यु लगायत क्रान्तिकारी पार्टी माओवादीको अधिकांश नेताज्युको छोराछोरीहरुको पढाई कहाँ कहाँ भएको हो प्राय: नेपालीहरुलाई थाहा भएकै कुरा हो। कसैले पनि आफ्नो छोराछोरीलाई कम गुणस्तरको शिक्षा दिएर भबिस्य बिगार्न चाहन्न। अतएब: यो जबर्जस्ती कानुन लगाउनु भन्दा सरकारी स्कुलको स्तर सुधारको लागि पहल गर्न आग्रह गर्दछु। हुनत: मन्त्रीज्युको नयाँ नियम लागु भयो भने माओवादी पार्टीको धेरै कार्यकर्तालाई फाईदा पुग्नसक्छ। कसकसको कती सन्तान छन् र कहाँ कहाँ पढएका छन् भनेर बुज्दै हिंड्ने काम पाउने छन्, नभए त्यो YCL नाम गरेको उभद्र्या जमातलाई नै त्यो कामको जिम्मा दिए पनि भईहाल्यो। त्यसपछी त देशको बिकास भईहाल्छ, अनी त नयाँ नेपाल भईहाल्यो नि ! जे होस् मन्त्री ज्युको अक्कल चाँही गजबै हो के, मान्छेहरुले यसै भनेका होइनन् के बाबुराम भट्टराई जस्तो हुनु पर्छ भनेर।   

It's high time sombody shed light on the ever-abysmal situation of the public school system in Nepal. The Government should collect tax from every conceivable for-profit business and allocate generous budget for public educational programs that are practical in nature. Education is the only shot, majority of the lower class members of the society get, when it comes to upward mobility. 

The best way to achieve quick and sustainable results in Dr. Bhattarai's crusade for educational reform, is to require the government executives/servants a taste of their own medicine by making them send their children to public schools. Do you remember the anecdate that a Water Resource Minister (back in the day) only used mineral water for drinking purposes instead of tap water that his ministry administered. Those days should be far-flung in the annals of history of our country.  I ain't saying that private schools should be banned. They can continue to operate at a profit provided they pay tax like any other business. In the long run, the expensive private boarding schools, that make the students study in summer under the hot corrugated metal roof and that malnourish the boarding students, should be made irrelevant in lieu of free and quality public school system.

In brief, the country needs sound infrastructure for businesses to foster. Then those businesses should rightly be taxed to channel funds for public well-being and security.

None of private schools in Nepal is registered as the profit making business organization. Yes they are doing business and making profit in every corner, which is due to lack of government apparatus to monitor and control them. Incompetent government is equally responsible to allow private schools rip off ordinary citizen. Rather than eliminating the government's weakness, this FM is eager to collect tax on improper earning of private schools. This is second degree extortion against ordinary citizen which I don't support.

If government wants to collect tax from private schools, then dismiss their current registration first, re-register them as industry and then collect tax accordingly. I have no problem with that. Why only 5%, they can even collect 15% or can subject this sector into VAT to make more money for the government. The private schools can then be treated equally as any other business sector.

It is huge mistake for the government to tax the organization registered for non-profit purpose. Taxing private schools allow them to earn more profit and the citizen who do not believe so called public (government-managed) schools will be suffered more. It will also open doors for other non-profit making sectors to start doing business and breach the policy.

I, however, support the policy of forcing kids of government officers study in public schools. This rule should be applied to all lawmakers, politicians who participate in election and anyone who receive money/salary from taxpayers money. I bet they will not do this honestly. These maoist propaganda machine will never do such a job, which will ultimately do good for all but they use this concept only to threaten some of the government officers who do not follow them blindly. If FM can say - The kids of government officers will not be allowed to study in private school, why he can not say - The kids of LAW-MAKERS will not be allowed to study in private school? That's why I don't support this agenda too.

FM writes - निजी स्कुलले करोडौँ र अर्बौंंको आम्दानी गरिरहेका छन् ।, My question, are they allowed to make the profit? Why you don't stop them making profit? Aren't you a minister in the government to take care of the policy, law and order? If you can't do what you should do, then all your ideas and bush-firing is rubbish. Nothing more.

सक्भर निर्णय गर्न नै नदिने, निर्णय गरेर निती बनी हाल्यो भने पनि ब्यवहारमा लागु गर्न नदिने को जमात जिउदै भए सम्म राम्रा कार्यक्रम को आशा गर्नु नै बेकार हुन्छ 

If that is so, then why did PM bought 1 crore vehicle by himself even if he was given the government transpotation facilities.

These decisions made by the current maoists ministers are just to show the uneducated poor Nepalese of remote areas that they are doing good for them but there is clearly a great trap for Nepal and its citizens in their decisions.

Has he ever thought that is so happens, who is going to employ these recent professors and employees of private schools???? So far I think, private schools are one of the most established industries of the nation. Baburam has no courage and will to compete with the private schools. So instead of raising the standard of government schools, he has been on the mission to destroy the recent private schools.

I gurantee that if the wife of baburam suffers cancer and is in the stage of dying, he will admit his wife to private hospitals or send her for abroad treatment rather than rushing to government hospitals.

SO WHAT WE CAN SAY IS THIS BABURAM BHATTARAI HAS NEVER REALIZED HIMSELF IN THE SITUATION OF THE CITIZENS OF THE NATION. HE SHOULD BE SENT BACK, NOT TO THE JUNGLE THIS TIME BUT TO THE ZOO.

once they start sending there kids to private school they will not create a policy...improved curriculum and improved public school....coz there kids dont' go to public school...& sending to expensive school leads to corruption..general salary dont' pay the fee in private school k garne ta ghus khane..
As private school is functioning as a privately owned business...earning fortune..they need to pay tax as well
i agree n support is policy..Despite how much i hate parchande n his followers..UML congress and ne fKed up tratiors politicians ..i start respecting n admiring BB policy n works..

NO Problem.. still we can get around this rule, if ever implemented.

The
kid can still go to Boarding School, simple ask the uncle or other
relative who don't have govt. salary to pay the fees. Yes, the kid
lives with parents... but some other is paying for the school fees..
what's wrong with that?

Or,

Give money (cash) to the
kid, the kid goes to pay the fees at the school. From where the money
came to the kid, no one can ask.... he simple got it from somewhere.
How can now they charge the parents?
