It has been already 90 days that my TPS is pending. My current OPT EAD is expiring very soon and I am working fulltime. Can I schedule a INFOPASS appointment with USCIS officer for the EAD purpose ? how long will it take after the interview to get a EAD.

Anyone has gone through this?
any input will be highly appreciated.

@spitzer its completed but nothing was the outcome. Opt EAD; lic expired just waiting for some miracle.

@ranjan101 .... when its completed you should receive something in email or in mail e.g.
"The expediting of a case allows it to be sent quickly to an officer for adjudication. However, your case is currently under review by an officer. We have notified the officer reviewing your case of your expedite request, however it is their discretion to grant the expedite. Please contact us again if you do not receive the document or other correspondence within the 30 day time frame."

2 weeks ago i didn't receive any thing for my SR but the email was sent, i called and CSR read me the email that was sent when the request was completed but i never received the message.

what documents did you provide them? I have been calling them. It's been 5 months. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I am really worried the way they have responded.

After the expedite service request, they didn't ask me for any supporting documents, which was strange. That makes me think, may be, the offer letter that IO sent along with the email to Nebraska service center in my infopass appointment a week before might have served as an evidence.

oh ok I thought when the officer wrote you a letter, he also attached some documents? I also requested expedite and waiting for them to respond.

I wrote a letter and also requested expedition over the phone, Status has been changed saying we've mailed you a letter requesting supporting documents on 16th. Btw my initial application was filed on 27th Oct.

@WakkaDikka22 : where did you send ur letter? Email or by post? so they are asking you evidence for expedite or the case?

@rajan101, I sent letter to Lincoln Nebraska Service Center via mail, Thats where i filed my application. I've not received the letter yet, I've no clue, here's whats online when checking the status:

@rajan101 Can you tell us when your OPT EAD expired? I have friends and me who have had same situation. I did a lot of research on USCIS webpage and found out that if we have a valid EAD ( in our case OPT) new EAD won't be processed until the old one is expired. Going by the time line you got approved once your OPT EAD expired?

Can somene share how and what to do when you contact the congressman and ombudsman please!

@ranjan101 my opt expire on feb 1,2016 and i did expedited it but got the reply saying your case is assigned to an IO. Please share if you did something different i am in same boat since February 1.

BTW off topic question. @ranjan do you know if we have to go back to school even if we get tps and tps ead approved to maintain F1 status?

As per my research, you do need to go to school if you want to maintain your status unless you have opt ead but if you r gonna use tps ead then you do....
