This is borderline emotional blackmail on false prestense!! Shame on you to try to fulfill your selfish agenda in the name of patriotism. Those who really needed have already applied.

That petition is weird. The signature required changes as soon as *k mark is reached. I'd they want some one to read it it will have to be sent on time.

Hi Suraj Nepali, Thank you for your response? Is Khagendra GC from Chhetri Law (http://www.chhetrylaw.com/). I am also interested in applying asylum. But, I have visited Nepal in 2013, August after that I have not visited Nepal. I have TPS and EAD and in F1 Status. One question with you. Is it necessary to be in Nepal within one year while applying for asylum? Thanks

Hi Suraj Nepali, If you have applied only the TPS. USCIS put them in a very low priority list, so most probably they have not reviewed your application yet. Same case had happened to me. I also had applied only the TPS, and even after 8 months they did not approve my application. Later, I applied EAD and then they approved my TPS and EAD at the same time.

@ BadhiJane...I think you put your name correct to your mind, way of thinking and negative minded perspective individual...FYKI i guessed u didn't noticed, i shared that petition from cited "Adhikaar".. Newyork based social organization, working for welfare for women's empowerment and betterment of Nepalese community in the United States.Which have been volunteering and working for 15 years for the betterment for Nepalese language speaking community based on Newyork. They were one of the social organizations, who really worked hard for lobbying about TPS4Nepal in 2015 with all the congressmen, senators, mayors, governors and local elected officials of the US. So think twice before you comment on anything, if you don't have knowledge and information about the subject matter. I shared it coz i care for Nepal, Nepalese here in the United States and in Nepal , who have highly benefited due to TPS designation of Nepal, they could meet their family members whom they haven't meet for years and decades, they could support them financially, Nepalese here in US can work legally and pay taxes to the government, they can live happy feeling secured life without fearing for deportation, students can work legally without fearing from deportation from DHS for working off campus illegally, students with financial crisis can work to pay for their university tuition fees with minimum course load, thats why i shared here , coz no matter how many years i might have lived here, my heart still belongs to Nepali people and Nepal... जसो गर जे भन , जता सुकै लैजाऊ मलाई यो मन त मेरो नेपाली हो if you don't want to sign the petition for our fellow Nepalese in US, its perfectly fine , no one is forcing you to sign it , There are more than 4400 Nepalese who care for Nepali and Nepal who already signed and shared the petition, if you are not one of them its perfectly fine... श्री पशुपतिनाथ ले हामी सबै नेपाली को कल्याण गरुन .....जय नेपाल

@Unite4Nepal That is the very good initiative to support to extend or re-designate the TPS for Nepal. I asked so many friends to sign it. Till the day before yesterday, the rate of signing was pretty high, but now it has been slow down. Is 4400 signs enough for the petition? Anyway, thank you for your support for the betterment of Nepali community. Thanks,

@SurajNepali You paid $375 for TPS application? I think it is pretty expensive. I did myself and it got approved. My another question was, is it necessary that the asylum should be filed within one year of arrival of USA?

Thank you very much surajnepali for your kind information. Which layer you hired? How much it costs? Will EAD approved once they received the application? or the asylum application should be approved to get EAD?

stop this stupid sign up campaign and just tell ur ambassador to do the work necessary. works like charm and butter. the prospect of tps campaign like this every year now on is so horrifying and lame. tps is not your right it is just a privilege. so nothing like your signatures matter except the current condition at home country upon which tps was granted.

Moveon.org is a progressive political organization (it supported Bernie Sanders). Does the petition even make sense?

@United4Nepal So your argument is that if Adhikaar supports it, we should all too? First of all Adhikaar fights for basic human rights. If you present it as a human rights issue, that’s one thing – don’t say as a Nepali you have to sign up. Second, just because a non-profit supports an agenda, all Nepali should rile up to support it. Did you even try to understand why I don’t support TPS signing, the second time – specially when its drummed up as something all Nepali need to do? Well, why should I? First of all, TPS has been made an instrument to take advantage of a grave situation in Nepal. Granted, there were few who really had to go back to take care of their family right after the earthquake. Are you seriously telling me people would wait one whole year and all of a sudden think they have to go back now to help? No wonder Nepalis residing in Nepal don’t have a favorable view of those abroad. We are taking advantage of a tragedy back home (second time, first time it was via asylum process) to correct our mistake (over stay, illegal entry) of the past. What I find most frustrating is these Nepali-patriots wanna bes who keep pushing “Nepal-unite” agenda to get their shits done. Be honest about it, say you cheated the system in the past but need this TPS to correct your mistake – I might even support that. Don’t tell me as a Nepali I have to do this.
