Time and again you ask about public transport, but Dallas, TX is not a place of public transportation. You could easily accommodate with your roommates. Cheap universities and easy to find job. El Centro, Northlake is good for 2 years nursing (I heard). BTW, you could disagree with me but please do not delete my comments ;).

Also if you're in F1 nursing isnt the best option to choose. Very hard to get sponsored at the end. Don't choose nursing unless you are passionate about caring and not that interested in financial side of things.

Lot of Nepalese Girls chose Nursing thinking they'd get a good job after graduation, BUT THINK TWICE. Like Maxpayne said above, It's almost not possible at all to find employer who'll sponsor you for H1B with your BS Nursing. I've seen many BS Nursing graduates who couldn't find any employer for H1B/ Green Card, they quit the profession and Joined US Army to get their Green Card/ Citizenship (with US Army). i wouldn't recommend Nursing if your goal is to get Green Card. If your goal is to get a Nursing Education and go back to your Country then go ahead. Just my 2 cents. I wish there were enough people to give Suggestions to us back in the days. Lot of my friends went for doing PhD and most of them are frustrated with No Job even at the age of 33/34. PhD also is not the best option. Having PhD will not land you a job easily.

I have been suggesting times after times. If you are F1 and studying nursing you are doomed and going straight toward darkness with a dead end and I am not sure why Nepalese girls pursuing this field. DO NOT STUDY NURSING. Seriously.

Cannot stress more. My wife is medical lab scientist and she had seen the trend change with nursing students trying to find job.DO NOT STUDY NURSING. Obama has made it easy so the students here (not internationals) finish school and get jobs.

Half of the nursing jobs are taken by Filipino, I don't know if there's any room for Nepali Intl student. However if you don't need sponsorship nursing ain't bad paying job.

Do some research on St cloud state university, MN, Minnesota state university, MN, Idaho state university, ID and some state universities in north dakota. Tuition is affordable and offer quality education. Those universities will provide you out of state tuition waiver if you meet the general admissions requirements.

I also wanted to change my major to Computer Science. Since my Bachelor's degree in a completely different field, all the universities I inquired with want me to take too many extra courses. Do u guys have any idea, an affordable university which doesn't require to take lots of extra courses? Please let me know.....
