Hi Folks, Is there any Project Manager in Software Development team here in Sajha? Has anyone experienced the transition from Lead Developer to Project Manager? I am a new candidate who is thinking about such transition. Please advise. Yours

If you enjoy developing(coding), you would get bored at PM position. It all boils down to your preference. IMO transition from Lead development to some Architectural position sounds more interesting then PM.

Hey NepaliBudho, Just my 2 cents from my personal experience, if you really can talk(native level) , exaggerate things and brag about your tiny projects to senior Managers then go for Project Manager otherwise try to look for software development manager position the reason is, I had made that move but I never could get enough credit even though I had managed so many complicated tier 3 projects but rather other pms ( american) who mostly manages simple projects like changing tags or adding seo or bug fixes those get more credits and recognition because they can brag about their shit. Another one point , may be it differs from company to company but isnt that parallel move from lead developer to just a Project Manger ?
