1. Nepal has lost its first match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023. The country is divided when it comes to supporting Sandeep Lamichhane who plays for the national men's cricket team. Lamichhane is accused of rape of a minor but the courts have allowed to him to travel freely to participate in cricket tournaments around the word while on bail even though the pre-condition for the bail was that he would not be allowed to travel abroad or be in contact with the victim. The victim is reported to have tried to commit suicide a few days ago.
2. Half the country is finding it funny and even disgusting that wife of Sher Bahadur Deuba, the former PM of Nepa, Dr Arzoo Deuba Rana has been appointed the chairperson of the Agricullture, Cooperative parliamentary committee. Deuba is also now accused of purchasing government land in Tikapur. She has been accused of taking bribes from the scam artists involved in the Fake Bhutanese Refugee scam as well but the police are afraid to file a case against her.
3. Eastern districts in Nepal is calling for legalization of Kodo ko raksi so that it will help local liquor production and also cultivation of millet in the region.
