Why you do not eat Beef?

beef is tasy

First we are nepali.. and i know my culture and moral values that our parents have taught.. i know we are in 21st century but hey watch out we r proud to be nepali even we are in usa..
and eating beef.. its so yucky coz bak in nepal we worship cow as our god and as mother and in deepawali we worship cow.. and we have lots of cows in nepal for many uses like milks cheese and etc...

this is kinda funny, for the 1st month that i came 2 U.S., i refrained from consuming beef.there was a friend of our's who was a vegetarian. since you all know, it's hard 2 survice as vegetarians in U.S. ,our friend started eating meat.he even had beef.when we asked him why he was having beef, his reply was "if u gotta eat then why separate the cow? everything has life."
that was it. i turned into a beef eater.gosh.
but here they don't have anything like buff and beef as in nepal guys.be it buffalo or cow, both are termed "beef".
but goys, i ain't eating dog or cat anytime in my life saying they have life too.lolz

For me there is no any cultural or emotional barrier for not eating the cow. I tried it once but immediatly i vomited after that ....and after that i never thoought of eating that because of its undefinable taste.

The bufallo meat you find in grocery store is byson....not that water buffallo...

Its just religious beliefs... muslims dont eat pork and hindus dont eat beef.. but if u are like me and arent very religious or dont believe in it much I LOVE BEEF.

All I know is that I am a "VAGI-tarian"

I disagree with your comments. thats a easy way out of saying that I started eating meat cause it is hard to survive in US without eating meat...
I have been living in US from last 12 yrs and proud vegetarian.There are few obstacle on being Veg.. but if you want you can overcome those..
please don't make an excuse ....Just say you were vegetarian but now you like the meat.

how can you guys say that it is okay to eat one kind of meat and it is not okay to eat the other kind. Don't you think that they are all animals after all. U EITHER EAT IT OR U DONT. THAT IS IT. It is like saying that one religiion is better than the other. Every religion teaches you the same principles of life and when it comes to meat or beef(whatever u call it), you should always remember both a chicken and beef are living beings. I personally think that it is okay to eat meat coz we human being come from the history where we have depended of meat for survival and our body does need it. The difference is how much u consume it and make it as a part of your daily diet.

Beef it reminds me of two things,
i. poor people who cannot afford to eat meat. So when some cows or bull die they eat that. That was what i had heard when i was very small. I feel their pain.
religion other than Hindu. Especially christian. Most of them converted because they were extremely poor. Now their children find it offensice to face the fact.

It hurts me when i hear beef. Because it reminds me of us Nepalese. Who have always been exploited. The funny part is, we find it offensive when someone mentions it.

For eating,

Beef meat is not bad. Beef has high protein and less fat.

Goat meat has high fat and less meat protion.

Beef is tested by healthy org.

whatsupD, u're right to some extent. i said my fren was a veg.not me.i just refrained from having beef kya.
