I watched Da Vinci Code today, interesting...

Does it not sound like the beginning of end of CHRISTIANITY?

Christ Bloodline ? alive? Church? Priorie of Sion? Holy Grail? Mary Magdalene?

Has the greatest mystery been decoded?

Don't forget to add mysterious mystery puzzles on the book jacket and throughout. And encourage people to solve them in the marketing.

That's what sold the DaVinci Code, after all.

I read the book and quite honestly it took a long time for me to finish it because I was so bored with lots of the facts D. Brown had inserted in this book.

The book got so much publicity because of the subject matter. Salman Rushdie is another example. As there is a saying " There's no such thing as bad publicity".

Even this fiction was true, and Jesus has a bloodline in today's world, what difference does it make? The Prophet Mohemmed, Rama, Budha, Krishna were all married and some of them had sons and or daughters.

Tell some differences from the book with the movie (Da Vinci Code).

The message from this movie is simple: "Believing on yourself is the first step towards peace". it correspondents that evey humans have their own beliefs about the existence of god. some are atheist while some are not. this beliefs should be left on themselves. because of these conflicts, thousands of people have died since the death of jesus. what i believe is that Jesus was just an influential man with extraordinary mind. i think everyone in this world should leave their beliefs on themselves and not fight each other. and if somebody believes that jesus is a god, then i wouldn't mind that he has this belief, rather other should respect his belief.

The book is fiction, the code MAY not be.

So, is the movie good to watch? What rating would you give it?

I was planning on going to see Davinci Code, but it got such a lousy press that I am thinking of waiting for the DVD to come out. Plus, they usually have extra stuff in the DVD, so that might be a better viewing experience. What do you think?

a C+, at the most a B-, average summer flick. nth much. Tom Hanks was the only reason I wasted my hard earned bucks over this thing. Frankly speaking, the movie was a bad version of an already boring read. The whole movie felt like a lecture. If I had to take a test after the movie, I would slap myself for not taking the notes.

The book was GREAT! I dont expect the movie to be as good as the book coz it is almost impossible to incorporate all the details. The details Dan Brown provide in the book is absolutely amazing. A great story teller. I recommend ppl to read the book more than to watch the movie.
I will probably watch the movie when it comes out on DVD. Instead, I will be spending my "hard earned bucks" on X-Men.

Prophet Muhamman was a Prophet, a human being like any other where as Jesus is considered the Son o God. A Prophet can have bloodline but not the God or the son of God.

The book was awesome and i thought that the movie was very close to the book ke!!! it wasn't like Harry Potter where they left out so many parts in the movie so it wouldn't be too long and stuff ni!!!

kudos to greenfly for surviving the twists n turns of this 'wanna be classic' drama. however, watching the movie after the DVD is out is an esmart chwaice.

I understand they are starting on the production of Angels and Demons - Davinci Code's prequel. Maybe they will learn from this and build that one better.

Inded it's fiction but a ction ased on semi-real story. I would rather watch THE ALBINO CODE (a brit comedy) than Da Vinci Code. DaVinci code is just a loooong boring movie with alot of hype. In other hand, Albino code is wicked funny. you can watch the trailer at www.albinocode.com

Too much hype about the Da Vinci code. Yes, Da Vinci is a fiction at the best. So many historians have found the evidence to the contary but still people can't seem to get enough of the hypothesis. Christianity is an old relegion and at times corrupt, and the authors seems to be trying to exploit these vulnerability but one point I should tell you did baffle me. The Last Supper! - simply unmistakable, remarkable indeed. And by no means does the Da Vinci Code suggests the beginning of the end of christianity.
Kaloketa is right on about the prophets. Muslims believe that the god let's us know about his will though these so called prophets. Not only Jesus but other characters in Old testements like Adam, Abharam, Moses etc are also considered as prophets by muslims but they mainly follow the teachings of mohamed(sp) because they believe him to be the last of prophets and hence the most important.
Christianity, Judiasm and Islam have so much in common (Of course I am talking comparitively) but yet so much hatred.

DaVinci Code is recommended reading. I watched movie first, then read Angel & Demons and am about to finish DaVinci code. I was disappointed with movie as I was with Harry Potter movie. However, it is understandable that they cannot cram everything in two-three hours movie that's in the book.

I would say Angel & Demons is far better than DaVinci Code in terms of plot. It just held my breath after I completed about half of the book and didn't let me put down before I finished it. I would say DaVinci Code also is hard to put down however you read this book more for informatioin than plot by itself.

The knowledge which you can get from book about why church don't want to admit that the Jesus had wife and kids is that that's the very foundation of church whic claimed Jesus was divine not like any other human. The church also demeaninzed sex between male and female, and professed priest to practice celibacy to become purer. If this information is true that Jesus actually have bloodline that can shake the chritianity's principle. So, even if it doesn't matter for other religion to have gods like being a other human, for christianity it seems otherwise. It was interesting to know from the book that sex was taken as sacred act by ancient cults. The way it describes just opens a new angle how you think about sex to those who didn't know about it.
