काठमाडौं, माघ २१ (दैनिकी)- रिपोर्टस क्लबका अध्यक्ष ऋषि धमला मंगलबार अपरान्ह गिरफ्तार भएका छन्। नेपाल प्रहरीले उनलाई अपरान्ह चारबजे पछि रिपोर्टर्स क्लबबाट गिरफ्तार गरिएको काठमाडौं प्रहरी परिसर हनुमानढोकाले जनाएको छ।
सरकारवादी मुद्दामा उनलाई गिरफ्तार गरिएको परिसरका प्रमुख प्रहरी  नवराज सिलवालले जानकारी दिएका छन्। उनको कुन घटनामा संलग्न हो भन्ने विषयमा प्रहरीले बताइसकेको छैन।
उनलाई अनुसन्धानका लागि हिरासतमा राखिएको सिलवालले बताएका छन्। दुई जना अनलाइन पत्रकार समातिएका भोलिपल्ट उनी पक्राउ परेका हुन्।

उनलाई पक्राउ गर्न १५ जना प्रहरी सिभिल ड्रेसमा आएका थिए।

It is not a big news somebody gets arrested. The important question is getting punishment. Even though i am not a fan of Dhamala and get irritated by his face in television, a proper trail should be made. If found guilty he should be punished just to show nobody is spared.

There is some rumor that he was arrested for involvement in the bombing in different parts of Kathmandu. It is not official but the supposed reason for his apprehension is due to his involvement with Ranabir Sena. Ranabir Sena is a terai based party that was invloved in the terrorizing bomb blast in differnet parts of kathmandu 2 yrs ago which kiled half a dozen people including school children.

भारतीय दूतबास को हन्दी खाने भनिएका धमला बिरुद्ध अन्य खालको मुद्दा लगाउदा ठुला शक्ती केन्द्र र दूतबास को प्रेसर मा केही गर्न नसक्ने भएकोले हात हतियार र बिद्रोही को मतियार जस्तो संबेदन्शिल मुद्दा लगाएको हुनु पर्दछ, ताकी उनको समर्थन गर्नेहरु समेत आतंकारी घोषणा हुने डर ले अगाडि आउन नसकोस।

Desire for conspicuity and uncontrolled conceit never mars one’s professional ability. However, care should be taken when one is catapulted to a degree of elites and is considered as a role model. I care least about Nepal’s politics because it is not worth having an opinion if I cannot make a difference. Considering this fact, and an ignorant person I am, I do not know the extent of Rishi’s contribution towards Nepal’s press. I only know that he has come across me, a layman, as a haughty and power hungry individual, who is keener in establishing relations with celebrities and political leaders which I doubt, is for a selfless motif.

 

Again, considering our own ethos and our own ambiguous judgment to believe Nepalese press, choreographing oneself to be another Rishi alike should not be difficult. It is easy to pander to political leaders, and it is easier to pander the rest of the Nepalese people. As I compare Rishi to elite journalists like Dixit brothers, Ashutosh Tiwari and Narayan Wagle, he simply fails to impress. His interviews fall short of depicting himself as a mere humble individual, let alone a classy journalist.

 

In reply to Rahuldai’s comment above, I partially agree with him because Rishi would perhaps get away with everything just like Prachanda and Baburam did. But then, they were hardcore leftists and religiously followed the set of guidelines of communism, although I decry their radical approach, I at least consider them honest to some extent. In Rishi’s case, he is merely a reporter who, I believe should have never put himself in unfamiliar territory other than journalism.

 

His interviews are trite and mannerisms affected. Despite his professional brilliance (if it is at all), he still needs an ounce of humility to establish himself as a credible reporter. He has failed us once again and made us look like a pack of fools who always believed in whatever Dixie he whistled. Another one just joined a club of liars, what can I say more?

धमला दोषी छ भने तेश्लाई हदै सम्मको सजाय हुनै पर्छ । हेर्दै मुजी चोर जस्तो छ । तर यहाँ कुरो आउछ ति माओवादी, YCL, तराइका लडाकु पार्टीहरुले तेही कार्य गर्दै आइराछन, तिनीहरुलाई पनि जनताले मिलेर सजाय दिने बेला आएको छ । तिनीहरु मात्र होइन, नेपाली काङ्रेशका , रा.प्र.पाका , एमालेका तथा सबै भ्रस्ट नेताहरुलाई पनि सजाय दिनु पर्छ । राजा दोसी छ भने तेश्लाई पनि हाले हुन्छ Jail. २०-३० हजारले सजाय पाएर दुइ करोड २० लाख जनताले रहात पाउछन भने, किन नगर्ने ? 

के चाँही हुन्छ र अब ? बिडम्बना यही त छ । बबन सिंह जस्ता डाँका हरु हाम्रो देश मा खुले आम हिड्छन । अस्ती भर्खर एउटा ब्यापारी लाई मारेको केस मा थुना मा परेर ३ दिन भित्र निस्कियो । त्यस्पछी के भयो त खोइ ? बबन सिंह फेरी जेल गयो कि गएन ? कस्लाई के मतलब ? हो त्यस्तै गरेर, धमला ज्यु पनि केही दिन मै धरौटी मा छुट्नुहुन्छ अनी फेरी उही हो ।
राहुल दाई ले दिएको तर्कलाई गलत तरिका ले बिस्लेशण गर्नु उचित हुन्न जस्तो लाग्छ मलाई । उहाले कतै पनि ॠषि धमला ले ठीक गर्‍यो भन्नु भको छैन । जब धमला लाई केस नै लाउनु छ भने सही तरिका ले लगाउनु पर्‍यो भनेको मात्र हो । के धमला लाई हात हतियार सँग भेट्या हो र उस्लाई हात्-हतियार सम्बन्धी ऐन लगाउनु । र, यदी त्यसो गरिन्छ भने खुलेआम हतियार बोकेर हिंड्ने पनि छन, तिनी हरुलाई पनि त त्यही ऐन लाउनु पर्‍यो नि ।
जे होस, केही गरी २-३ हफ्ता मा ॠषि धमला छुटेर फेरी रिपोर्टस क्लब मा नेताहरु को छेउ मा उभिएर बसेको फोटो देख्न पाएमा म आस्चर्य हुने छुइन ।
