Crooked society learning from the master. In the meantime, they will teach Westerners are bad people with bad culture to their kids. Funny! If you cannot do something honestly in the US, where exactly do you think you can implement your "honesty" which we lack so desperately in Nepal? These same people will go around and post "How to develop Nepal? How to end corruption?" right here in Sajha. Do not go to these Indians. Try yourself. You might not get the dream job right away, settle with something smaller first. It is just a matter of time, you'll achieve anything here with hard work.

What the hell wrong with you guys. Nobody wants to go Consultancy we all know. Its our compulsion not desire OK. and dechidriver, what do you mean by do by yourself hun. We all tried to find the job as far as we could but when there is no option we have to go these consultancies. Its like chicken and egg problem. if you don't have experience, you won't get job and if you don't get job you won't have experience. So to break that problem, you must made yourself fake. Where the hell we can go except US hun..i am asking to everyone..NEPAL????WHERE even your life is not secure and you are trying to find secure career in there???????? where criminal/murderers ruling the government.

If Nepali students don't take consultancies they'll lose their legal status . Nobody wants to do h1bs and wait for their employee to win on lottery system of h1b selection. Nepali students are left with no options. Indian consultancies have been exhusting h1b quotas for last 5-6 years but no body speaks against them because microsoft and other big companies were in favor of them. now the economy is bad people are fighting over some left over bones.

Dhotis have helped a lot of Nepalese. I know a lot of people who make good money through the dhotis, and some of them already have green cards. Those who worked hard in their college life, but due to the slow economic conditions between 2001-2004 and 9/11, many had no choice but to go to these consultancies. They had degrees in EE or CE and they excelled really well. However, after hearing tales of their success other Nepalese thought they could easily earn good money without working hard in college. Eventually those who never worked hard to do good academically...or those who always thought about taking the short cuts in life started going to dhotis...and for dhotis it was good business..they took everyonw...the current economic situation is hurting everyone no doubt...I wish those who are having a hard time the very best luck in finding a good job.

yeah, it is bad for nepalese in some way. But this is the better way and the right way. Dont always look for a short cut. These things even after 20 years will stay in your records, and if the case opens for that consultancy then all the people who worked through them will be investigated too. So dont give no chance. There is always a right way which for sure will have lot of struggle.

Lets go to the very begining of this saga: Did you show genuine bank balance/property to the councelor's office while applying for your visa? Didn't you say "yes, I will" when asked during the visa interview : "Will you come back right after you finish your study" and you are still here. Didn't you work in some ways to make your living when you were not supposed to work outside of your school while as a student?? Did you say "No this is not Right!!" if your resume was made to reflect 7/8 years of working experience by any Indian Consulting companies??? Lets get our own record straight first..OKAY

@Cham Chum: Yes I lied, when I showed my document and lied about my bank balances in the Visa office. Yes I said "I will come back" in my interview. Most of us did! Then when I got my VISA, I was overjoyed that I could continue my studies in a place of higher education which would give me an opportunity to be someone in my life. But when I cam to the US, I f/cked up my studies, f/cked up my finances, f/cked up my life all because I didn't do the thing that I came here for. To study. And now that I somehow managed to drag my lazy ass through college, I will also say "YES" to Indian Consultancies because its the easy way out for me huh? I don't care about the other people who lied through their Visa interviews and actually went to good colleges and went through a lot of struggle in their life here in the US in the hopes of getting their dream job. In fact, they can kiss my ass when I steal their dream job easily by saying "YES" to one of these Indian consultancies because thats what everyone is doing it nowdays. And because everyone is doing it, it HAS to be right, right? Thukka. What has happened to reaping the fruits of hark work? I still stand by my opinion: Shortcuts may look tempting, but will almost always result in making your situation far worse than it already is. Life is always a struggle, the minute you feel it is not, then you're doing something wrong ;)
