Dear friends,

I am looking for a college/university from where I can get a permission for CPT right away.

I know couple of them as University of Northern Virginia and ITU in California...they are little expensive for me so I need little more information regarding other options if you have been in that situation and found any helpful resources, please let me know.

u can get the CPT authorized at any university and almost immediately. you just need a job thats related ur your field and a professor is willing to give u atleast 1 credit for it.

what process should you follow?

you need to find jobs, usually internship. once you receive the letter that you are accepted into the job. take it to your international student advisor, and ask for CPT authorization. You need to contact ur professor and convince him to give credit for it. Usually department chair is the guy u need to talk to. he will open up a class that only you can sign in (it was in my case), fill out the forn required and submit it to ur international student advisor, u r good to go
