BIRATNAGAR, June 12: Nepali
youth scientist Rijan Karki on Friday returned home after attending the
NASA conference from May 28-31, 2009 in Orlando, the United States.

A student of Budhanilkantha Secondary School in Biratnagar, Karki has
developed a new theory on “gravitational force” and propelled himself
to the forefront of the world. His prediction on gravitational force
has also created interest among physicists in the US.

He explained his theory and his experience in the conference to
physicists, teachers and media present at a press conference in the
capital on Thursday.

Karki says his theory states that like our life cycle, the universe
also has its own life cycle that continues forever. According to him,
natural energy converts into a repulsive force. He has combined the
theories of Einstein and Newton to create his own theory, which is
being studied by the scientists in the US.

It is good that Rijan presented his ideas maybe on some BoF sessions, as I dont see any specific timeslot for his speech at the conference agenda in the official website (http://www.isdc2009.org/presskit). Its upto the community to accept it or reject his ideas with experiments. I am eagerly waiting to see the updates (if at all!).

Meanwhile, We should not forget to appreciate the teachers and students who actually got an honorary mention at a contest on the educational events on the same conference. (http://www.nss.org/settlement/nasa/Contest/Results/2009/index.html)
