I don't agree. Human beings are the front runner in opening the doors for the global warming. Ya it's true global warming is not a recent issue. There were great ice age in the past like cenozoic era- pleistocene epoch. It has been melting since then. National Bureau of science recorded that atmospheric temperature is 3 centrigade warmer over all and is 1 centrigade warmer in arctic right now and is increasing with the carbondioxide input in the air.

Do not run behind numbers Try to learn the facts and if you look at the sources from which you get your information, you will find out what purpose are they serving.

I thought our 'himtals' are in danger of global warming, thats what I read on ekantipur few days ago. Because of melting ice they are getting bigger and are about to explode sometime in the future. I cannot ignore science or god. God bless Nepal.

I also heard the same as LonelyAvenue said. A famous climber was saying that he saw alot of water and less snow on his way to Mt. Everest .

I did not believe god in my college years in Nepal. I thought science can explain everything.

But, when I became a research student, I started  to believe in god and science both.

Science is a good servant but a bad master.

We must be careful concerning global warming. Lets not talk about extinction right now which i always love to, but global warming might facilitate other stressors that support next mass extinction

Prob yet another Republican propaganda. It will be too foolish to deny global warming when we can with so much precision measure emissions, calculate their CO2 equivalency and project those numbers to see how it causes rise in global temperature. If anyone has read Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, he/she knows the impacts of anthropogenic perturbation in carbon and nitrogen cycles. One thing that we all need to understand is that, we most of the time look for some specific patterns of change (linear) but environment is different, it often exhibits non-linear and inertial behaviors, which means that even though climate change is happening today and we fear it so much, the consequences might be quite different than that we are expecting. That's why no scientists talk with assertion these days. They speak in language of "potentials" and "scenarios"

I am not saying I do not trust Gore. I wonder why so many scientists do not believe in global warming.

The data produced in lab definitely say that carbon dioxide absorbs infrared radiations and warm up the environment. Do scientists believe that the data produced in labs may not always be extrapolated in the real world environment?  or, Some scientists may think that it is hard to correlate temperature rise with carbon dioxide rise- simply because there are so many factors playing together at the same time ( for example sun might have effect on it ).

But what percentage of scientists does the number 32000, 650 etc. indicate? It would certainly be a small minority. Global warming is a reality.

Also, he points out the natural climatic trends
which indicate that global warming is not something to be concerned about at present.
