First of all I don't recommend you doing that. Importantly if you are planning to put Google adsense in there. Google will track you down and remove you from their program. But if you are doing it for fun or other purposes. Here is what you can do. You can connect database by configuring wpconfig.php file where you will provide database name, password and table info. So pretty much you can use sampe wpconfig.php file in both blog folder. I hope it helps.

Hey Umesh, thanks for the reply.. this is not for adsense intention.. I want to make 2 design.. one for a light version and other for a complete version.. lite version is for ppl who have limited data connectivity.. hope you get the idea..so light version will only have text and no images etc.. With working with wp_config it wont work that way.. it is becuase the site name is defined on the database... like if you install WP from sitename.com/blog/ and use the same info at sitename.com/blog2/ on wp_config it will redirect you to sitename.com/blog/ . Any other ideas?

If you copy the same contents you will see same thing. Please create a separate database user and try again. Do not copy from blog to blog2. Simply ftp to your site and use different username and database name, you should not have problem. I had same king of problem before while I was coping the stuffs on different directories (name based hosting) .. Please share your findings ..
