Arahat, So are you flying to NY from Houston to take the job then?
Dude, looks like you are totally unaware of what "Sherpas" are doing over at the East Coast NY, MD, PA, VA etc? All they are doing is faking a case of being a Maoist victim and applying for asylum. Mr. Sherpa is doing the same thing like his other brothers. Look at his previous postings.
Again, I totally hate anyone cheating the system. I know a lot of sherpas who have done this and its ok to stereotype as they have totally jeopardize their tribe in US with this disgrace. They will have a GC and you will be following their instructions on your first day at work at a pizza place after you graduate.
Learn the life dude and decide who to respect.

i dont know how people like dimag kharab is surviving in america... with such a conservative view.. i barely hear people talking about caste this days... dimag kharab ji.. broaden your mind... your life will be a lot better trust me.... And dimagji, ..."I totally hate anyone cheating the system"re, i thought you were better than that..... does anybody here think that there is a single nepali student who dont cheat the system in some way.. and also, FYI, sajha is used by nepali all around the US... including NY.... not only in houston..

Did you read in maosansar today about nepalese cheating the European system by applying assylum being fake Bhutanese? These I guess, must be non-sherpas as non of sherpas (that I am aware of) lives in Bhutan and thus cannot be faked.

Syal, Arahat is from Houston, so i was only referring to him/her.
The point is if you kill a few Americans outside in your neighborhood, what shows up in the newspaper next day? "A Nepali dude shot 2 people....." and then there will be a protest to kick all the Nepalese out of the Neighborhood. Agree or not? 911 is a good example against Muslims.
Stereotype is everywhere my friend. Don't be a hypocrite, you do it in one way or the other. Sherpa Ji was only an example. Just google "Sherpa Asylum or sth similar" you will find a bunch of interesting organizations, postings, case evidence, lawyers and forums. I know a lot of people file Asylum, but "Sherpas" are on the top of the list.
Regarding my survival, you do not have to worry. Being a student myself, i know how difficult it can be and you should learn to pave your path towards the success through the struggles in your life. Don't be a dickhead.
