depression sucks man. i think i am depressed because of being Asian. i have identity crisis.

I don't know where you got that idea from. I've been in US for more then half of my life. I've never been put down because of my looks and my backgound. No one has ever made negative comment about me being asian. Yes, it is hard at first to speak english fluently because that is not our native language but people do learn.

No all the countries from Asia is third world country. Look at Japan, they are experts on electronic goods. Tokyo is infact one of the most expensive city in the World.

You might not realize, but our life changes so drastically after we graduate. And you will start living an American dream.

If you are a rich spoiled kid and want to kill yourself and don't want to let your parents know about it, then I have nothing to say.

I totally agree with Tamanglakola. It is struggle at first but after you're on the right path life does get better. Asia is just another continent like Middle East or Africa. There is nothing to be ashamed of, and you should not be ashamed becasue you're of Asian heritage. Killing yourself will not do any good to you and your family. It will cause much more pain for them.

Come to think of it, my major issue had been identity crisis too, which I posted about in the above thread.
And today you want all the people from sajha to respond to you with compassion at your depression and suicidal thoughts? Wow. Who would have thunk it? I guess its pretty natural that when we see other people feeling low we personally feel that our life will never get that bad.

Well, I'm glad that the people in sajha are responding to you with kindness. Maybe you'll learn something from their example. My heart goes out to you.

Dude! Its easy to die in Fargo. All you have to do is strip off naked some time in January outside your apartment.

Chilll dude! All you have to do is face the current situation. Nothing is going to get worse after this. You will be able to suck everything up after you come out of depression. See a provider and try some meds for at least a month. You should be fine.

With due respect, have you ever thought about one of your family member doing such a stupid thing to you. How much would you suffer? do you think he/she forgot you and that'ts why he/she is not in touch with you. Won't you be worried...Remember friend, we do care , your family do care and all of those who are in touch with you will care... Even they think we came here to support our family what wrong with that. Can't we support our family.Our family did so much for us and when it our turn to do so for them what's wrong with that. I moved to Dallas this semester n I'm going northlake currently.... This semester they just let me take 3 credits of college level Courses  so my study is pretty much [Disallowed String for - bad word]ed up... 2 days back I got involved in a major car reck And it was me who pulled infront of her, n i don't even have a driving liscence, I screwed my driving history before it was even made..car dhulo bhako cha, na banaune paisa cha, na arko kinne( pakkai tyo bhojpure le Sarapeko hunu parcha) n yesterday I got a call from the Hispanic girl whom I was dating while I was in university saying she is pregnant n it's my baby.... N guess what I am still laughing, I'm still having fun hoping things will get better...

Yes, sometimes in life it feels like things are over before it even began. The outcome of the game is pre-determined...you just think that you have choices.

I know you're going through a lot and I don't want to be insensitive. But I thought it was a little funny. I guess you drive better in bed than you do on the road, huh?

this might look like a fabricated story dude but believe me or not its really me who is going through all these mess...and about the "driving in the bed" thing, i dont kno dude but i was pretty successful picking up chicks in my 1st semester... now it feels like living in the hell man, hate the job i m doin, hate the costumers whom i have to deal with and not to mention my retard boss....... i really think i deserve something better than this...but still, no complains as somebody earlier said " if it doesnot kill me, it will make me stronger"...
