Hey frens,
Is it appropriate to study biology(interested major) in TOTAL FREE(100%) in some 3rd tier university of rural area of Louisiana, or is it best to study electrical engineering(looking at the job prospects), paying some thick bucks(like 8000/year) to the university in a urban area?? P.S---am not that good in engineering as in biology, but still I know that i can get some good grades even if i study engineering!!!!
Please, give me some good suggesstions, I am totally confused...i would be grateful to yall!!!!
Thank You,(only serious replies anticipated)
Merry Christmas!!!!

If you wanna ruin your life then study Biology otherwise chose Electrical Engineering. You'll make more money with Engineering than Biology. You see lots of people majoring in Biology express their frustration in sajha these days ! Choose wisely.;

Agree with Purana Kagaz. When it comes to finding a job in 4 years you'll be glad you didn't choose Bio. $8000 isn't much. You can earn that much just buy working on campus in a year. Try living in a dorm and apply for RA and your room and board will be free from your sophomore year... that'll save you a lot of money as well. A lot of students come to the US and study whatever the hell is easier.. they work in gas stations and only think short term... at the end of 4 years, they come to Sajha and complain about life.. about how they hate their gas station job.. about suing Indian consultancy.. about filing Asylum.... About not finding a job... about how depressed they are.. .. about how life was better in Nepal... and the list goes on.. It is a really good thing that you are thinking about your future even before joining college.. Shows me your are serious about your future unlike most Nepali "wanna be Americans."

really like your reply jai nepal ... that was what i was telling biramerican the other day.. its better to work hard now than to study without any objective to only repent the easy way you choose .. its alot better to take a chance .. after all we came so far away from our home just to work hard to secure our future ... mr tiwari (birnepali) please dont compromise your future with the current easy life that u get to live now

Thanks frens for yr precious time and suggesstions...@Jai-nepal....sorry fren, but am already in the US university in my 4th semester studying pre-engineering...but the problem is that there is no any 4 yrs engineering degree in my university, so i have to change my university for rest of the two years, if i wanna pursue engineering...however, this university where am right now, provides me 100% scholarship in everything...so i think, this scholarship is making me think about switching my major rather than the university....which i am not sure, is a good option or not!!!!! Any suggestions are most welcomed.

From my personal experience, when I took OPT after doing associate in liberal arts, there was two options; either to go for Nursing (BSN) or for biomedical engineering. But the problem was if I go for biomedical engineering, then I would have to pay around 4 thousands per year. While if I choose for Nursing then I would have to pay 8 thousand per semester. But later I decided to go for Nursing taking advantages of one year OPT and at least saved some money for my college. It was because, I found that after 4 yrs college degree from engineering, it would be difficult to get job while form nursing was possible. Well my case may differ from you, but I choose nursing only seeing future job prospective.

I posted my comments in this thread but now it is deleted. I didn't know SAJHA is like this. I hoped biramerican got my comment. I thought SAJHA is really sajha forum for all Nepalese. This will be my last post in sajha.
