May her soul rest in peace.
One thing caught my attention was your urge to call your ex-gf and tell her that you still loved her. Thats a slippery slope broda, be carefull while u step on it. Very good writing as usual.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart adventurer and goddamn, as you might have seen, it is not a work of fiction this time. She was very dear to us.
To answer your question goddamn, it is indeed a slippery slope, where feelings for each other might have escalated had I done that. But then the implied fact here is, I was so distressed by the departure of a close friend, I just wanted to reach out to everyone and tell them that I love them before I lose them. I mentioned my ex girlfriend because I could have called everyone without hesitation but her. And of course, it was also because of the mixture of alcohol and my eccentricity.
Funny as it might sound, you chose to pick only that part. :)
