Does it work in the same mode with networking? If Yes, download some spyware removal software like spyboat-search and destroy or windows defender and also download ccleaner and remove all spyware and unwanted files and repair registry entry using ccleaner. Lets see what happens.

lopchandai,

HP doesnt ship its computer with recovery disks because the files
needed to restore your system to factory condition are on the HDD
itself, albeit in a separate partition.

I hope you haven't done a full format of your hard drive and lose the recovery data.

When starting computer hold the f12 key (note - on some machines f11 and on others f10. Try from these three). If you do have a recovery partition you should see your boot options. If not try with f11 and f10. And if they still fail, you can try getting Windows Vista lite from pirate bay.

Good luck.
