Hello everyone. First of all I want to wish you all happy holidays and new year. Second I want to take opinions from sajha community regarding my TPS status. I applied TPS on August mid aug 15 around and still my case is pending in local office. I applied TPS without EAD, while I know that cases can get late; Would it be this late? 4 months has passed and I am little concerned about it.
Did anyone of you had similar case? Suggestions

I sent my form for TPS without EAD on 19th Dec via USPS through Priority mail express (one day shipping) and the deadline was 21st Dec, but USPS did not deliver the package until 22nd Dec 7 am . Anyone in the same situation? Will the form be considered?

@Ijatul: The form could be considered since its only a day late but I am not sure about that case though.

@bakwaas_Kura: same situation Some of my friends applying have already got it, they had applied a month or so ahead of me. Any causes you can think of for taking it too long.

@taremam_bhai: not sure what's causing the delay but it looks like people who applied right after TPS was announced got theirs approved soon, but the rest (us) who applied in August or later are still pending because of processing delays due to high volume of applications. Nov-Dec. holidays could be another reason for the delays.
A friend of mine, who also applied about a month before me got TPS approval notice 8-10 days ago. So I guess it's just moving slow...we'll get there, hopefully in 2-3 weeks

@bakwaas_kura, I just spoke with them and they told me that currently they are processing july applications and hopefully they should be overwhelmed with the number of applicants and holidays like christmas and new year. Mine is in august so she told me 1 month timeline approx.

Why are you worried about your status now. Once you are in tps, other status doesnt matter. You might have a plan to adjust to a different status. Work on it. B2 visa not a solution to your status in future. TPS will be approved now or later.

@Mr RKY: Hello MR RKy, @ogathe is absolutely right, since your EAD is already with you in one way or other you will definitely get your TPS. For the time being as Ogathe said you can work on admitting in a college or a community college is a good option too.
