I am also thinking of investment in stock (specially ETFs) as it is low cost investment.. I've done some research on Vanguard (VOO ) and looks to me good will be good investment.. 5 year return is 14.67% ,standard deviation is 11.72 and expense ration is 0.05

Yes, Vanguard ETFs and/or mutual funds are good for long term investment. That's what I use as well. Another passive/residual income source is flipping houses and in real estates. Depending on where you are, it is a very lucrative income source now. PM me if you need any information.

@Nepali_hu_ma - Can H1b open Vanguard account? They say non resident cannot and haven't clearly mentioned whether it is IRS non resident or USCIS non resident..

@edipre - Yes, H1B can buy Vanguard ETFs, mutual funds and trade stocks. Btw, H1B are considered residents as the visa itself falls under intent to immigrate category.

I see lots of thread seeking investment ideas,partners or have the money but no idea what to do with it,so here is a thought, can all like minded investor get together and have a action plan and make a bigger investment..if everybody on the same page there would be more money n more brain to contribute.
