How are you going to use this fund? Is it going to be used for the medical bills or to transport the the corps to Nepal?

@magorkhe bro:

Most of these funds will be used to pay medical bills and funeral services. Most probably, the corpse will not be transported to Nepal.

I would think that they have medical insurance, it's not like before.

Very tragic news! RIP.
I would assume the funds will be mostly used for funeral purpose and may be to pay the medical bills. I believe both of the brothers have some sort of insurance but with that magnitude of accident, it is very likely the bill will be humongous. That will lead to high out of pocket expenses. Do your part and pray for the quick recovery for both mental and physical health.

Hospital charges are unpredictable and even more unpredictable are insurance coverage. Somebody close to me drowned in Texas, was airlifted to the hospital following a 911 call but he died few hours later. Only around $25,000 of around 53,000+ was covered by insurance.

His insurance specifically did not cover the helicopter cost and some other things too. I still have not checked whether my current insurance covers helicopter, sea, volcano or some unusual rescue. Please don't assume you are financially safe if you have medical insurance. Things happen in unusual circumstances, and a clause in your insurance document (or its interpretation) can easily nullify your claims. Going to the court is beyond rational thought when your loved one is already dead.

Once again, please help these bereaved brothers.

I think medical expenses will be covered by Truck's or company's insurance if they are at fault. And why are we even discussing their funds?
