It's official. Now everyone who was worried because this can relax for a while. This document is scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on 11/16/2022 https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2022-24984.pdf

Folks, Do an applicant have to be re-registered during both the reregistration time (2016, 2018), to maintain TPS. If the applicant have re-registered only during 2016 ( and approved), is the TPS valid for them?

Short answer: Yes. USCIS says: TPS for current beneficiaries under the designation for Nepal will continue if they properly re-registered for TPS during at least 1 of the following registration periods for their country. If you did not re-register during at least 1 of the following registration periods, you should file now and explain your reasons for filing late. So if you re-registered between Oct. 26 -Dec. 27, 2016 and were approved but did not re-register in 2018, you still have valid TPS status.

@Galactus, Thank you much, for your response. I really appreciate it. Is there any way to confirm the status? The i-94 portal is not showing any records of the updated I-94 record.

@hose If you have stayed in the US since your re-registration in 2016, I am pretty sure you have a valid TPS unless USCIS withdrew it based on individual ineligibility. The only way to check is if you were issued an EAD card back then with an expiration date of 06/24/2018. Then you can go to Self Check to verify your employment eligibility https://www.e-verify.gov/employees/mye-verify/self-check If you were not issued an EAD, then the only way to verify your status is by filing for a new EAD with your original and reregistration notices. Best of Luck!
