Nepal lost 1-0 to India in a competitive match of Group A of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship at the Bangabandhu Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Monday.
With the result, India qualified for the semifinal while Nepal still has a hope to reach the final four as the runners-up. Maldives is currently at second position with four points from two matches – 1-1 draw against Nepal and 3-1 victory over Afghanistan.
If Nepal defeat Afghanistan on Wednesday and India defeats Maldives, the goal difference comes into the play.
On Monday’s match, Nepal dominated most of the first half in which Bikash Malla pushed one in after a great save on 17th minute. The goal became the decider. Time to give up football and enroll into this game.
