    तीन सय किलोमिटर प्रतिघन्टाका दरले उडेको रकेट एक किमि उचाइसम्म पुग्यो

So the three guys in the video are Nepali kids? 

Damn.. you poor guys.. There is a thing called 'google'.. Water rocket is not new concept of any nepali kids as claimed in the news..

त्यो खबर र भिडियो एकै होइनन। त्यो त मैले नयपत्रीकाका पत्रकारले कसरी खबरलाई गलत तरिकाले सम्प्रेसण गरिरहेका छन भनेर देखाउन खोजेको मात्र हो। केही पहिल एक विद्यार्थीले सोलार कार बनाए, नयपत्रीकाले संसारकै प्रथम सोलर कार भनेर लेख्यो, यहाँ सम्मकी गिनिज बूकमा नाम लेखौने भनेर लेख्यो। त्यस्तै पहिले न्युटन, आर्कीमिडिसका सिद्दान्तलाई चुनौती दिये भनेर लेख्यो। मैले देखेको यो विद्यार्थीको गल्ती होइन। केही पहिले मैले मेरो ब्लगमा नेपाली पत्रीकाहरुमा बिज्ञान सम्बन्धी कुनै कोलुम्न हुँदैन,म कस्को करणले होल भन्दा, प्रयासले पत्रीका को कम्जोरी भनेका थिए। आहिले मलाई लाग्छ यो पत्रीका भन्दा पनि पत्रकार को कम्जोरी रहेछ। स्कुले विद्यार्थीले एतिको सोचेर यो काम गर्नु ठुलो कुरो हो। त्यो बिर्ध्यर्थीको बिज्ञान मा रुची रहेछ। अब स्कुल तथा समाजको धर्म भनेको त्यो उस्को बिज्ञानको रुचिलाई कसरी अज बढाउने, तकी पछी गएर त्यो विद्यार्थीले बिज्ञानमा केही योग्दान गर्न सकोस। तर यहाँ त उस्को गलत तरिकले प्रसम्सा गरिदै छ। उस्लाई प्रसम्सा गर्नु पर्छ, हौसला दिनु पर्छ, तर एस्तो गलत तरिकाले होइन। उस्लाई ससार्कै प्रथम पानी रकेत बनाउने, वा संसारकै प्रथम सोलर कार बनाउने भन्दा बरु, नेपालकाइ प्रथम भनौन। उस्को त्यो कौसल लाई अन्य विद्यार्थीसामु देखौन लगाउँ, अन्य स्कुलमा लगेर बिनम्रतालाई रकेत बनाएर देखौन लगौ, तेश्को पछाडि के सिद्दान्त छ, त्यो व्याख्या गर्न लगौ, ताकी उ अरु विद्यार्थीको प्रेरणा बनोस। तर यि कालीला विद्यार्थीका जोश जागर पनि म त यि अबुझ पत्रकारका कारणले गलत सन्देश गैरहेको देख्छु। अब यि नानीले अष्ट्रेलियामा गएर पनि रकेट देखौने भनेको छ, तर मैलीए देखेको त यो पानी रकेट त बिकासइत देशका स्कुलको एउटा साधारण स्कुल प्रोजेक्ट हो। यि विद्यार्थीले आम विद्यार्थीभन्दा फरक दिमाग छ भनेर देखएका चन, तेश्लाई बिकासइत गर्न पत्ती लग्नु पर्‍यो, नकी गलत प्रचर गरेर।  

No the guys in the video are 8th grade Nepali girl.

By the way my kid can make poops in O shape, this is the first time in the world and I want to register it in the Guiness. She also thinks Heisenberg's uncertainty principal is wrong, her article will be published in the next Nature journal.

The journalist Prabeen Dhakal and Nayapatrika are to be blamed for this kind of news, but it is also our love for exaggeration. Principal of the school, Baburam Poudel, and the brilliant inventor, Binamrata Sharma was the one who actually said this:

I remember those school days. One of my Geek classmate made telescope from cardboard. Everybody were lined up to look at it. That day science teacher was dressed up with suits. Came to know now he is doing some kind of RA in usa. ( proud of him)   Nepalese students at higher ED  never introduce to word RESEARCH or RA. Poor guys come to know that abbrebiaton after finishing 3years degree. coz nothing else to do beside doing RA overseas.
