After Ohio is decided, the looser, be it Bush or Kerry, will have nothing to be ashamed of.

This should be a major wake-up call to all Bush haters. If you hate him, fine ., But dont expect everyone else to hate him :) AFter all, at least 55 million people (our of 100 million) can not be wrong.

Have a nice day everyone :)

i prefer kerrry over bush, and i am sure millions of other feel the same way, but sadly there are more of those who feel bush is better for this country, we all know who they are,old and religiously motivated conservative americans, i pray the next 4 years won't be that bad after all but we all know what bush is capable of ..........no more wars needed! i guess not enough young people made their votes count, its really sad.........

Well, what can I say, looks like Bush and Republicans will rule the senate and house for 4 more years. 4 more years for rich folks. My vote went to Kerry, and he won from my state (MD). Ahhhhh...I need a shot of tequila...Take care guys/gals.

u-day:

Voting turn out was almost 60%; 10% more than last time. I think people who hated Bush did go out and vote but it again was the issue of feeling secured with Bush. I mean the hardcore americans still believe in Bush...and it doesnt even matter to them what the world think about their leader...I mean..I am have always predicted that Bush would win becuase after all said and done Americans are selfish people..They don't care what people think about them..

So, another 4 years for Bush..whats amazing is that they totally dominated Democrats in other elections as well...I mean it shows how unpredictable Americans can be..I mean it was hard for me to find people who supported people..but apparently lot of people do and they belong to certain clique....

In a way its bitter sweet for me..I mean I think Bush is stronger as a leader but again he might be carried away by too much ego and start numerous more wars, which I totally condemn..hopefully this term will focus more on economy than war..keep your figners crossed!

yes, it's sad. and devastating. and it reflects on the HUGE differences between the east and west coasts, and middle america. as unknown pointed out, it's these conservative, religious, christian fundamentalists that are keeping america rightwing. and it's not just the president, it's also the house and senate.

what bothers me the most is the hypocrisy of the bush administration. how, in a country partially founded on the principle of separation between church and state, they go about preaching their rightwing christian rhetoric and waving the bible, all the while condemning muslim fundamentalists!?! how can you lead a country as diverse as this one while preaching your paricular faith to the masses?!

Americans need to get rid of the mentality of "America and the rest of the world" and start thinking that they are part of the world and that their actions and decisions affect the world.

Well, Palpali Gaule, it seemed to work for Bush.
I have gone to some debates about Bush and Kerry organized by different groups of the community, and the main issues seem to be gay marriage and abortion while completely forgetting about the greater issue of war. And you would know what these conservative, hypocrite people who like to call themselves christians stand on those topics.

hurray, you are absolutely right and i think many americans do realize this. particularly the ones who voted for kerry. but bush and his supporters fail to realize every move this country makes affects every other country in the world. or if they do realize it, it's even worse, because then they just don't care.
many of bush's supporters live in "the heartland" of rural, middle america. they are far removed from international metropolises like nyc, la, boston, seattle, etc. and because of this, they have a very limited world view. it's time democrats learned how to appeal to the masses in the middle again. i have seen polls, and i know they aren't always accurate, but polls showing if citizens of other countries were able to vote in the us election, kerry would have won with 80% of the votes!

I agree with you Pg. Our founding father founded this country on the basis of separation of church and state and it clearly stated. If we cannot separate state and church than we are no more better than those rogue regime of middle eastern countries.
It reminds me while i was doing my real estate agent class one of this ex-army chap said that we have to go to Iraq to teach them our values. When i ask what is our values? than he said religion and statehood is different. i bounce him saying what is our current adminstration doing rite now ? than that dumbo have no ans. he started blabblering about civil rights and blah blah.

Oh boy, 3-4 supreme court judges will probably be appointed by Bush. Bad news for all you pornaholics. You might end up in jail only for watching porn online. Bad news for all you feminists. Roe vs Wade will likely be overturned. Bush said he won't have litmus tests for appointing his judges, but be warned that they will all be conservative. Scalia will look liberal in front of these new judges.
Boy, people have no idea what this election was about. To me the most important issue was supreme court justices. Rehnquist is about to kick the bucket soon.
Evangelicals won this thing for Bush. My vote was completely squandered; I live in VA.

I am happy that bush not only won the election but also got 51% of american votes. This is more than wat Bill Clinton got while he was re-elected. This election clearly showed that american people rightly chose the war against terror over the meisleading visions of kerry. Kerry promised economy growth but he forgot the fact that inorder for any economy to grow the stability is needed. That stability could only be gained after winning the war on terror. Majority of american people were one step ahead than what he thought. They rightly voted Bush and gave him the lisence to continue his war against terrorism. Once the war against terrorism is won, the economy will grow itself. More people will be secure to work freely and invest. This would lead to growth in job market. I truly believe that Bush has the ability to win this war against terrorism; I see growing job market in the near future. Good decision America.
I wish bush all the best for his second term.

To Terrorists: Bush got re-elected either surrender or be dead!!

I make lot out of bet. I was sure neither Micheal More nor Bin Laden can change Red Neck conservative stand. At last they got hold to it. Here are some point, what lies behind Bush's victory..

Bush victory were mainly from inLand than coastal becoz of majority dumb ass live there. these people like war, rule and power. If tomorrow, Bush goes on war against Mexico these people will still support Bush, no matter what. What could be expected from WWE fans. Other than that these people are radically inclined to Bible; nonetheless these people are like Muslim extremists. Therefore theocrate rules..Without any exception, these people do believe Bush is God-send and he is their saviour..BTW latest census concluded that majority of mothers who vote bush (which is well over 60%) opposed abortion, gay rights..This recalled me something from another Sajha's thread "Girls' Zone' where somebody wrote, "Nepali women should learn from American women to be forward" (may not be exact phrase) . Please nepali Ama, Didi and Bahini don't do that mistake..

If you take California and some major state from east coast, out of US map, What would be America ? Surprisingly, other underdevelop states now represent America, only rednecks represent American. Well well well, Facist is back in power in some other form, consequence can be catastrophic.

To be continue.. later..

TO as101,
one of my american friend asked me the same thing( doesnot mean I am staying illegally though). And I replied to her: Because I am going to be here for next four years and because USA has freaking foriegn policies and unfortunately those foreign policies gravely affect us. That is why!!! I thought it would be obvious to you, but seems like you need a little reminder.
