Talking about Iraq, the greatest threat to Iraqis was Saddam Hussen's regime. His regime for more than two decades, tourted Iraqi people. He terrorised and killed his own people.Saddam has had approximately 40 of his own relatives murdered. Documented chemical attacks by the regime, from 1983 to 1988, resulted in some 30,000 Iraqi and Iranian deaths.1987-1988 campaign of terror against the Kurds killed at least 50,000 and possibly as many as 100,000 Kurds. attack on Halabja which resulted in approximately 5,000 deaths. 2,000 Kurdish villages were destroyed during the campaign of terror and the list goes on. The man who was responsible for all this is now behind the bars and now Iraqis people are free from thier greatest threat. Thanks to Bush's firm decission to take military action against Saddam Hussen's regime. One of the greatest threat to the world is behind the bars, this is what i call success. 13 million shi'a muslim, who were banned friday communal prayers, can freely pray now.this is success. Now Iraqis can choose thier leaders by fair elections.this is success. Nothing comes free, not even success. The price was paid by both american and Iraqis. Number of american soldiers died and yeah unfortunately, number of iraqi civilians were killed. Many lives were lost. But again that was just a phase before sunrise. The iraq will now change and will change for good. The change that i am talking here will not happen over night or so. It will take time.It is hard to adopt to any kind of change due to the various elements. It is same in Iraq. Some pro-saddam, and pro-taliban elements are creating chaos there. American soldiers are still there fighting against those elements. Hats off to the american soldiers and the iraqi families who knowingly or unknowingly sacrified in one or the other way. I appalud the decision that Bush took against Saddam regime. America is not alone the victim of the terrorist activities. It happened in Spain, it happen in Indonesia, it happen in Russia----- Thus, we should all unite against these terrorist and fight against them and wipe off the terrorism from the face of our mother earth

Iraq had no stockpiles of WMDs whatsoever which was the major reason cited by this administration to invade Iraq. Infact, the tubes that Cheney pointed out last year saying that it most definitely was the tubes for producing chemical and biological agents turned out to be nothing more that the tubes for producing hydrogen. The 'yellow cake' substace which the admistration said, Iraq had bought from Nigeria was a complete false assertion. Besides, Iraq had years of UN sanctions which had made it almost impossible for producing WMD. I can carry on forever with the squandering lies and series of mistakes and miscalculations by the Bush Administration. The adminstration's confused and disturbing foreign policy has not made the world and America safer, infact it has created more anti-american passion than anything seen before which now is in a boiling point. US has alienated its allies, dismayed its friends and inadvertently gratified its enemies. All I can say is, at the very best, we have seen one of the most grotesque mistake in the modern history of American Presidency, and now this has to be endured for another four years.

Totally agree with nell........americans made a grave mistake by choosing Bush again.........the thing that bothers me is that political analysts asserted republicans appealed better to the public in terms of Values and issues related to faith, as swati thapa said earlier, there's no separation of church and state in the current state and that's what the republicans used to their advantage in impressing general americans(mainly from south).....whatever, we cannot change anything anyway, just hope the consequences won't be too grave in the next 4 yrs........i am sure in global perspective this re-electing of bush must be seen with apprehension and quizzical looks around the world........

In regard to " Americans are dumb people"... You cannot generalize all American as dumb just because they have different opinions. It is true that most of the countries don't like our policy, but look at them; they don't even have any foreign policies. I don't agree with Bush in many issues, that's why I voted against him, but I am cool with his winning. If majority of citizens think he is alright, I have to accept him. That's how democracy works, isn't it?

Six String, You said, "If majority of citizens think he is alright, I have to accept him. That's how democracy works, isn't it?" Democracry might work that way, but so does the sheepish attitude. You can accept Bush as your president now, as if you have any other option, but you don't have to be fine with it and you don't have to agree with it. Yes, saying that "Americans are dumb people,' might be a generalization, but in a majority, they are. They lack even the slightest common sense, and their ignorance about the world around them is incomprehensible given that they have the best technology and media (TV, Radio, Internet). To Megalomaniac: You said, "Majority of americans like war, rule and power, but they also like success. The kind of war that they love is the war with some motive behind it." Seriously? What was the motive behind Iraq war? Any true one that you know that I am not aware of? And Pisces rightly pointed out that there hasn't been anykind of attack or war in America, besided the terrorist attack of 9/11. Americans don't know the price of war. The only wars they were involved in were held outside of their country. You seem to have been brainwashed by the American media about war. War is not where you just see the tanks marching around the town, fighter jets flying in the sky, it also where you see the agony of people, bodies lying in blood, and that's the true image of war. If you have any european or middle eastern friends, which I doubt, ask them what war is all about. It might send shivers down your spine if you can understand. You also said, "They voted for what they have believed without threatening those people who believed against them." Bush is a threat to the entire world, let alone the Iraqis. It is because of him that 12 nepalis got beheaded in Iraq. Iraqis are just defending their nation. US are the attackers. "American people have always believed in god and religion." And they do that blindly. They could at least use their so called "brain" to filter out what is right, practical, and makes sense, while they are being brainwashed in their church wih their god knows how many times altered Bible. And how do you think the religious extremist, fundamentalists are born or made? Americans voted in the basis of "morals and values." Come on, what morals can you really have if you are a warmonger? My friend, I am from south and I have seen plenty of so called people with morals and values who get drunk on fridays and saturdays, get involved in orgy, and then go to church the next morning, and still have the audacity to tell other who don't believe in religion that they are bad people, surely entitled to hell. I have known them all. If I remember clearly, I think it was Gandhi who said, "If it was not for christians, I would be a christian." And I can see why he said that.

"Americans are dumb people" If americans were dumb then they wouldnt be sitting on top of the world, demanding and ordering things to happen.Matter of fact everything around world revolves around American policy and so it is an issue for every american and non-american to be concerned about . The country is pretty much split into two halves and thats why I feel like American desparately needs a 3 major party system.I mean the reason Kerry was simple; he just dint focus more on his agenda to improve american. He was more concerned about Bush;s mistakes..So, rather than have to vote for either Kerry and Bush people would have a different option..also I am not talking about likes of Nader...someone that represents or bridges those neutral voters..after all in democratic country like US less than 60% went to vote...

For me "Americans are dumb people" because they are allowing themselves to be manipulated by the likes of Bush. They think he is actually waging war against terrorism and for freedom of american people where as he has an ulterior motive..he and his possies have benefited greatly from the war against iraq and afghanistan..monetary wise as well as in terms of power over the now scared americans who have put themselves in the hands of a dictator..

Kerry lost because he was a poor candidate. The Democratic party in general is becoming poor--there is so much division between the liberal dems. and the moderate dems. that the party as a whole is failing. Bush won because he has proven himself a strong leader. He has taken the initiative to attack the nations that supported the terrorists that attacked America. He has proven himself to be an adequate leader of America. As for American's being stupid, I hardly agree. Look around you, could all this greatness come from stupidity? Compare America to Nepal... Nepal is in complete shambles, aren't we the poorest nation in the world? Americans will do what is best for America, exactly how Nepali people will do what is best for themselves. Oh, and by the way. Those Maoists are terrorists. How can they be called anything else? Revolutionaries, my foot!!! They want only bloodshed and sensationalism--there are truly better ways to reform an inadequate system.

DeL, no wonder you support Bush because you've said and therefore believe, "Bush won because he has proven himself a strong leader. He has taken the initiative to attack the nations that supported the terrorists that attacked America. He has proven himself to be an adequate leader of America." I don't believe Iraq was supportng Al qaeda. I don't think Saddam and Bin Laden were in good terms. But you do believe, and hence support Bush. I rest my case. Not all American's are dumb but majority are. Take all the foreigners out; just the ones who have been here from 3 generation, since all americans are foreigners to begin with, send all the Indians, and Chinese from Silicon Valley back to their country, send the Indian Economist back, send the mexicans back, send all the foreigners back, and then watch for yourself how this US economy will crumble down.

My dearest Hurray, I don't support Bush! I hate that stupid monkey head! But Kerry was not a decent candidate against him. And honestly do you see anyone (other than muslim extremists) wanting to mess with America? Bushie made his point clear... You're saying that all American's except immigrants are stupid?!? I disagree, wholeheartedly. I think that there is a tank full of white trash--married to their cousin--only two teeth left 'tards in the country. But there are also gallons of people that are intelligent and successful. You're right that the American economy would crumble without all the immigrant assistance in the country. But why in the hell would they leave?

republicans won same states that they won last time in 2004 and so did democrat except NH, NV and most probably IA and NM. they are switched. so what we can say here, people did not vote on the issues like war, economy, job loss ( take case of ohio). i read one article on a newspaper yesterday which says that the main issue that in this election was american values ( gay marriage, abortion, stem cell research and christianity). bush won because kerry supported gay marriage, stem cell research, abortion and bush did not. interesting part is kerry won those states which has more educated and immigrants while bush won inner states. country is divided, no matter what other says, it might increse the differences between the people living in east and west and mid parts of usa. had bush been popular becaue of war, he should be able to win other states which democrats won last time, he could not.

Seeing so many anti-Bush sentiments here, let me propose one thing here. Let us list the options available to anti-Bush camp camp as of now and in the future. 1. try to make rest of america as smart as yourself 2. work on a strategy to oust Bush very soon (by impeachment or other means) 3.in you can not stand the heat, get out of the kitchen (anon.) 4. birodh julus, aam sabha, rona dhona, ansan, bhok hadtal, aamaran ansan garau sathi ho , kina dhilai :) 5.educate teh "dumb" americans and impart some of your smartness to them 6. others (please add to suit your need) As for me, I would like to congratulate Prez Bush and the american people. I dont hate anyone. Kerry was good but Bush was great (but I dont support his anti-abortion and stem-cell policies). Aba, kuro, kulo ra discussion jati lambyayo tyati nai lambhinchha. America has spoken. Tyasaile, Lau sathi ho, list banayera jod tod ka sath abhyas garau, himmat naharau. Ma chahi ahile lage, yeso Bush ko naam ma ek toast prastab paarit garna . Cheers Have a nice weekend :)

being a citizen of a different country it is not a big concern for people like me who won in the united states ,but, that damn country is not any just another country but USA. so it ll effect the world scenario. and by god am i happy to see george w. bush as the president of the united states. i know a whole lot of american arent happy becasue of bush being re elected but oh well i aint an american.the only thing that matters to us non american unlike the americans with all their health issue,employment.......etc is war against terrorism and thats why i am happy to see bush being re elcted. bush will keep his military on iraq and kick the shit out of the katuwas and thats why i support bush.every time i see iraq on the tv or in the paper i remember that beheading of the nepalese people and also the rest of the people who went there.innocents iraqis are killed that is true but innocent other people are also killed and as we know that is how war is.it is sad but a fact.kill all this extrme katuwas and a global terror will decrease to 70%. watched this fahrenhit 9/11 and can understand a lil bit why people dislike bush but for me that is why i like bush and 4 more years of ass kicking which that shit head kerry would not had done...
