okay..enough of this..i always see people who use food stamp to buy grocery but their car..OMG! even the ones with a job would have difficulties affording those..and their new gadgets and all..i understand may be they have family and friends..or their significant others who gift them those thing..but..may be not? some people just cash their check from a job and then pull out food stamp to buy grocery..then pull out regular card to buy cigaratte..wtf? you're spending $200-$300 on cigarattes? you dont have enough to eat! also..these are the people who would buy more snacks than anybody else..im just curious whats going on..are they fooling the government? hmm..who knows! im not jealous btw..coz i dont wanna be in their position.

 so a gentlemen just gets out of a shining volkswagen..prolly 2011 or even 2012..i guess it was passat..dressed nice..gets inside the store with his little daughter...get some snacks...and then the daughter hands him the foodstamp card..wow! maybe they bought it when times were good..but how are they gonna afford the repairs and the maintenance, servicing and the insurance?? i dont say all are like that..but some..may be more than some..

I am guessing they bought the foodstamps from the needy (read addicts) ones. Second possibility: He qualifies for the food stamps somehow, maybe somebody in the family (partner-unemployed).

Third possibility: Bought VW real cheap and it is a necessity for getting his stuff done. Like you said bought it when he had a job.

I have seen worse. This is the case for all no matter you need those check or not. Most of them have nice car and latest smart phones. 
In NYC esp Indian, Paki, Bengali and Yemeni store owners giving cash $80 for $100 cash benefit. 
Chinese 99 cents guy selling diaper and other 99C items for WIC checks. 
People getting junk food and beer from local latino grocery using their food stamp phones.

I have seen worse. This is the case for all no matter you need those check or not. Most of them have nice car and latest smart phones.

For our own FOB DV holders with children might get lot of benefits from America.There are lot of benefit out there which our innocent fresh DV holders don't know.
When only one person is working in a family with 4 or more members, their children can get free medical insurance for children, and also food stamp. they can get low income housing where the rent is less. 

One Nepali family with 3 children got a 4 bedroom apartment in a very posh area for $1700. (actual rent for 1 bedroom at that area is about $2000 and up)

A father works on check in restaurant.  A mother works on cash (earns about $3000 a month).
So with only father's income seen in check, they got the benefit of all the low income family like free insurance to children and other lots of benefits.

They rented the 2 bedroom for $ 600 each to other people.

Their actual pay for 4 bed apt is ($1700 - $1200) $500+utilities

The mothers money is entirely saved approx $36,000 a year as they have no other expenses. You can imagine how much they save in the past 6 years only. Before that also they had some savings. They have full cash on hand to pay for a decent house up front.

I have seen worse than you.  I have seen a mexican guy with 85K SUV buying groceries on Foodstamps.  People from all backgrounds take advantage of the system, not only Nepalese; maybe some do more than others.  People have money to buy drugs, cigs, and alcohol; but need foodstamps to buy foods.  The system is so screwed up and out of control that we (the middle class) end up paying for these a**holes' foods and medical expenses while they have money to pay for drugs and expensive cars.  I believe that if there is a tight control on food stamps, two thirds of 47 millions that are on food stamps now wouldn't qualify at all.  While I understand that there are some people who would really need food stamps to survive, I am repulsed by these fawkers that take advantage of the system. 

 guys i never said i was talking about nepalese on food stamp..i dont know enough nepalese to know one on food stamp..im glad to know there are people who also think like me..not everyone is like the one who said who the buck cares

If you are qualified any facilities provided  by federal or state , suggest not to hesitate to utilise it.  Romney is paying only  14% tax ,  he is just following the rules as these food stamp holders.
Heard about MA giving Dabit card,  were used in exocit places, casinos in Las Vagas to Hawaii vacations.
