Why dumbass? And why such an outcry; this is the second post today on the same subject by the way.

I understand there's a better way to capture the cheetah but give the villagers a break. THey couldn't wait till Animal control (if there's such a thing) get there. They united, chased the cat and captured it.

Dumb because they could have been mauled by this maneater. Dumb because they r depending upon a wooden stick.

Agree with kiddo. Nepal lacks resources to tackle this problem. The government should look into this. Overall a sad event but I guess no one wants to be killed by such animals. Nepal authorities are well known for their inaction anyways. The other problem is rapid urbanisation. A very difficult situation. On one hand we have to think about protecting the animals, on the other hand we have to also think about protecting the kids and adults alike in the village.

How could you use that cheap word based on a simple pictorial footage? Dumb Nepalis re...?! What is so dumb about it? They had probably used what was available quickly and all you need is courage and unity as you can see in the picture. Stop judging people in such way.

yes, we are dumb .... they could have easily scared the cat away. it was heavily outnumbered by worst animals (nepalese in this case) anyway.

Yes dumb. Had they any brains, they would have thought a bit more and come up with some other ways to tackle the problem. May be build a quick trap or dig a hole to trap the animal. Yes, but that requires some thinking which is exactly what nepalese are not capable of doing. So thay grab their sticks, axes and other arms and resort to violence just like in any other conflict. So yes bunch of coward morons who don't mind keeping quiet againts maoists and government atrocities but a single poor animal, let's all gang up.

The title is not appropriate for this topic at all. And BTW hurray, building a trap really when there is a wild cat attacking. Nepal lacks resources, and for a remote places (if it is) it would not be possible for immediate action not only in Nepal but anywhere around the world.  There are dumb people everywhere, not specifically in Nepal. When you say Nepalis that wouldnt be appropriate but be more offensive, as I am a Nepali and I am not at all a DUMB.

Magorke u made me laugh. Even If u chase wild animals out of villages, they gonna come back as they know food is there in village. Desperate need desperate measure. The animal has to be uthionized. We don't know id it has killed any human. There is no way maneater be set free here in USA. Don't you ever heard of people being mauled by grizzly bear n then that bear has to be put down.
