@mvc I googled it and didn't find what you said. Below are the links which tells you everything but it might not be authentic as these are forum. Can you put your google finding? http://www.trackitt.com/uk-discussion-forums/i485-eb/992694193/working-for-multiple-clients-through-sponsoring-h1b-employer http://www.immihelp.com/forum/showthread.php/52383-Working-Multiple-Jobs-on-a-Single-H1B http://www.immigration-information.com/forums/forum/nonimmigrant-issues/general-nonimmigrant-visa-issues/14116-multiple-jobs-on-single-h-1b?page=1&s=1af0834f543e2dc240e80224cc8d49d4 Also, I don't know what my employer did...but I worked with two diff clients through my employer...it was in 2007. Also, make sure, end clients and employer are two diff things.

FreeH1b, I am not sure why you are so confused on this.
You are talking about consulting companies. If you are working with consulting companies then your employer will be consulting company and you need to have H1b from that consulting company only. You can work whatever number of clients as long as your consulting company holds your H1b. The end client will not even know your Visa Status and they don't even care either.
However, if you are working for non consulting companies and if your payrolls are run by them directly then you need to have separate H1bs.
So bottom line is you need to have separate H1bs from all companies who runs your Payroll.

In the main post, Lauro didn't ask about consulting company.

Ok. Didn't know lauro is talking about non-consulting. Does the below statement reveals consulting or non-consulting? "I wanted to know if people can work two jobs; 40 hrs + 20 hrs while on H1B status?" Sorry. I am still enjoying consulting job. I will take non-consulting when time to retire.
