Not only New Yorkers Nepalese, any Nepalese from Tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) can apply in person for MRP from Nepal Consulate in New York. In fact, any Nepalese from any other states can also apply in person Nepal Consulate in New York since they don't ask for you US ID or US address.

Wth, so they dont need original citizenship? What about consulate in boston?

I am saying you need to take a copy of it too.

Nepal Consulate in boston does not provide passport services...

I wish I could have known this few months earlier. I sent my docs to Washington DC and it has been very frustrating that i don't get any info on my MRP. I am waiting more than 4 months. MRP was already dispatched for more than a month from MoFA but these Clowns on Washington DC never replies any emails neither answer their God Damn Phone. I suggest all fellow Nepalese to apply via Consulate Office, NYC.

@dragon bro, i know there are so many people holding for many reason. Due to all nepalese guffs. I just feel like i will let you guys know the fact. I guess you can just visit NYC and do it on your own, and of course you have to pick it up too.
I wish i had done earlier and tell you guys all about this.

i dont think so , even on other days they are open from 10-2 only, for MRP .
