Hello everyone,
when everyone is talking about TPS, I thought I would share my situation, hoping somebody can shed some lights on it.
Can person whose green card is pending thru American spouse apply for TPS? After the interview, if it's taking awfully long time to get green card and could go either way, can a person file for TPS and be granted?
Lets hope we get to hear good news about TPS soon.
Thank u all for your time.

Hey, I think we are in the same boat. It's been almost 2 years since I applied to remove the condition on my gc. My gc is expired already because of which I have to get a temporary stamp on my passport and it serves as the proof of PR but needs to be renewed every year. Are you in the same situation or what? Let's see if someone can shed some light upon us here.

hey Fuckeetow, I am in the same boat buddy. would apply for TPS as a backup plan, if I could. don't know how long they take and what the result would be. Tired of all this my fren. I read somewhere that even if you have applied for other immigration benefits, you can apply for TPS. If so, we can apply as well and get TPS. Would be so relieved of all nautanki and naatak. Lets hope somebody knows and show us the light.

Talked to USCIS, they said I may apply. They said only restricted for criminals and unadmissable people. I later saw the form and in the form it mentions what is your current status? not sure what to put on it. Still donot have concrete idea if can apply or not. Have you tried out from your side? Do u know anything about what else we can do?

I am in OPT and currently work. I have masters and work in relevant field in IT. My OPT expires in early December 2015. I dont want to join CPT colleges. I want to apply for TPS but I have following questions. 1. Do someone in my situation have to join college during TPS period. I dont want to do both, work and attend school(Already have masters and dont want to waste hard earned $$ on another BS). 2.My dho consultancy is already applying for GC. Started a month ago. This will take sometime. Will it affect gc processing if I take TPS benefit. Please share your thoughts. This TPS is somewhat confusing. Too many viewpoints.

bikash_001, I think if we apply then we will have to put PR as current status. I think even the Nepali lawyers don't have much idea on this scenario. Lets try an search the forums from the other countries with TPS. We might find something those forums. We could even ask this question there.
