Monsoon finally started in Nepal in full swing. That also brings us to deja vu of muddy streets, potholes, pools and pools of water stuck in the streets, beautiful weather....greenery everywhere.....frog croaking...actually I like monsoon thou I dont get to swim as much as I want. The mentioning of swimming reminds me of this story I wanted to share with your guys couple of days ago but I was just distracted. Anyhoo, it is never too late to bitch about things lol.

So the last time I was at Satobato swimming pool, the big pool was divided into two parts. At one side it was a big crowd of the regular people and on the other side....it was mmmmm the experts....the guys who can swim like a fish with fancy mercury tucked glasses.

DONT CALL me smart, I bet these are the guys going for the Rio Olympics. But again to get some more information I go next to this guy who had an attitude of a lifeguard (tanned toned body, shorts and chappals and fancy sunglasses). And with a big smile I asked, “ Excuse me, aaja yaha kina yesari divide gareko, k ko training hundaichha?”. Oh he was excited to tell me the details,” Rio ko lagi swimming team ready hundaicha, 1 mahina bho training suru bhayeko....yo time ma uta swimming garna mildaina....tyo rope ko eta garnus na”. Must say, this guy was extra enthusiastic to help me out.

I love this festival of sports. For 17 days it is full fun of all the games I can think of. Since it comes only once in 4 years, it brings me that excitement ( I like events that happens in couple of years, except Grand Slams which I love to watch and follow every year considered there is electricity and my timings :D). When every other country has been investing and training their kids for years ( if they have not participated in the last olympics, for 4 years now), watching their growth, diet, health basically they live in these camps for months and get trained by the best, our Nepali swimming team being trained in June, to be prepared to compete in August. I felt really bad for the athletes. Only if they get better guidance and help.

With all these thoughts in my head, I got into the pool and starting doing my laps as usual (Now I can do upto 20 lengths laps in an hour, with breaks in between to check out if there are any good looking guys around LOL....not really...sometimes I watch people who swim really well to correct my own strokes). Anyway somehow couple of these athletes were swimming in the breadth side of the pool as well and apparently I happened to cross them while I was doing my own exercise ( let me remind you that I am still swimming in my so called restricted area). And I heard couple of them murmuring at me. I looked back and they were yelling at this 2 people who were swimming behind me. “Kasto manchey haru, uta swimming garey huncha ni hamilai disturb”. I was like woah lady! Attitude.

This triggered me more to actually take a break and notice these people practice. I am sorry to say, there is not ONE single person I can vouch for a medal.....forget gold.....any medal. I dont think they will even get through the heat round. Half of them were floating in one corner of the pool, fooling around and giggling ( again a reminder that from 10-12 is their practice that is why there is a demarcation line). Rest who were swimming were also taking too many breaks. Being a woman, I am disappointed more with the attitude of the ladies. Very arrogant, rude and they think they are the best, invincible. Very loud, potty mouth and extremely annoying behavior.
I guess they are there just to get an opportunity to go to Brazil in the tax money I paid. And prolly run away from there. If I have to sum up, I think the attitude was really bad and they need a lot of grooming and personality development specially in their thought process. Anyway, I will not be cheering for these people coz I lost my “bachakucha” respect right there in the pool. Like, Nas asked me in one of the previous threads if I have peed in a pool, I think I still didnt pee but I washed my hopes for any medal in swimming for Nepal in yet another Olympic. Jai Nepali!

I don't know about gold medal for Nepal but India is sure to get 2 gold medals in Wrestling. The early favorites are 'Sultan' & ' Dangal'
