I once met a guy who did the same thing. He was like a middle man, Dalal (broker: Fancy name). He didn't have money to lend personally but would find people who have money and convince them to lend. He charged standard fee of $10,000 for amount less than $500,000. But if you borrow more than a Million Dollars than he would charge a whopping interest rate of 15% or more.
