Hi all, due to unexpected circumstances, I will be laid off from my job soon. Since it is very difficult to find an employer who will accept an h1b transfer in my field, I have decided to enter into tech (have some programming experience in college)
However, I want to give myself at least 3 months for training before I join another employer.

Is it possible to leave h1b right now, stay on TPS, and move back to h1b once I find another job?
H1b has a 2 month grace period, but this is not enough in my case.

You can join a consultancy and have them run a payroll to stay in H1B. ( you'll be paying both employee and employer taxes)
