Consult an immigration attorney as soon as possible... you do not want to miss the deadline of the appeal...

In most cases its 30 days. Also in most cases asylum officer refers the case to immigration court.

if he has already received final denial because of tps, that means he was returned to TPS status, and such cases won't go to judge. Now, once the tps expires next year, he will have two options, first is to go to local jurisdiction office and request to reopen the case. This will take his case to court, but the important thing is, such cases are given the least priority, meaning he might have to wait years to even proceed the case. Second option is to reapply at the local asylum office. The clock will start right there, and as of right now , such cases are well ahead in priority. He will be called in for interview, and HEY who knows , not all officers are equal, Good luck!

So when tps expires next year how can he obtain ead card? Is it after 150 days after reapplying the case as it was when he applied for the first time?
