My spouse and child are approved for Green Card via consular processing.
I haven't got their GC yet.
I have applied for their SSN, Haven't got their SSN yet.

They are travelling to USA for the first time.
Wondering, how can I get them covered for their health insurance while right now I am not employed.

I am thinking of applying medical for them(including them in my medical application). Not sure if that works as they do not have their SSN number yet.

Any relevant information on this would be highly appreciated.

U can apply for ssn if u didn’t received with in 30 days.If u apply u can get in week.Apply Insurance through state exchange program, your Aliens no should be in passport, u don’t need actual green card.To get green it may take up to 120 days.

Thank you for the valuable information. I got their Alien number and had applied for SSN. Haven't received it yet.
