Namaste Sajha Mitra Haru One of My friends was asking for this and I thought of sharing with all of you so that I could give him a better suggestion. I have a couple of quick questions about Advance Parole. Never Applied but I have TPS that was expiring Jan 4th 2021. Now after Auto Extension I am planning to make travel back home for a short trip around April 2021. Can someone please give me updates, documents, or any suggestion to prepare or things I should consider before sending the documents to USCIS. I am also waiting for Jan 5th Special Election Runoff before making any special travel plan. I am a little worried as Court can decide before October 4th to terminate early if I am in the middle of a Trip or out of the Country. What would be the best way to make a trip without screwing anything. Safe and better options. Greatly appreciate

@butternut squash Thanks for your feedback. I understand the time and circumstances. The good news is Trump is OUT and Covid Vaccines will be Rollout in larger quantities by April | May 2021. Flights will be normal as long as I have proof that I took the vaccine and I am not vulnerable. Waiting for Georgia Senate election to see who controls the senate also and Whats Biden 100 days plan for TPS and how progressive agenda is implemented. The timelines are around April but won't mind traveling around June | July before August as in the case of my friend. Any suggestion on document Prep. I think there is no harm in applying. Booking the ticket and traveling is around April and May so until and unless circumstances change. What do u think? If the Senate is Controlled then the October date might get pushed back by bills rather than Court.

I agree with you card chaiyo. If I were you I would wait until uscis publish the notice on their wall. The best option is apply for new tps that ends on 10/4/2021. There shouldn’t be a problem like that . I wouldn’t suggest you to travel with the expired tps. The majority in senate is not going to make any difference to push the bill further after that . TPS is already guaranteed till 2024. And the other thing is that even demo wins the senate race .. there is never ever going to be tps2 gc . Goodluck with ur everything .

Don’t believe in congress or democrats to do anything. If you want to go with AP and go ahead apply on Jan 4 or after then travel and come back before end of the summer. Try to adjust status some way , if not possible just believ in miracle. For AP instructions visit USCIS website , it is clear as a day.

Apply tps again that says expiration is 10/4/2021. Don’t just go with the expired tps and advance parole .

@butternut squash USCIS have already publish that in the wall I believe. Link below: https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/temporary-protected-status/temporary-protected-status-designated-country-nepal Isn't that notice official. All I know from Adhikar Facebook Live was they extended because the Court has not ruled out in Time that why but the date October 4th, 2021 can be shorten to May 2021 if Court decides and gives Final Verdict on Not extending. So If I am planning to Travel then Should I get a new card from USCIS with a TPS end date of October 4th, 2021. Currently, I have Jan 4th, 2021. If I do this do I need to pay $575 again just to get EAD with a new date? Not familiar with the process. Doesn't Airport security will look at Advance Parole Document than My EAD card. I thought the EAD card was for Employment purposes only. Would appreciate it if my understanding is different here. I am unaware TPS is guaranteed until 2024. Did I miss the news or anything. I thought we are fighting in a Court of racial discrimination against the current administration. I guess the progressive groups and Biden Promise to include a pathway for DACA and TPS is still in the play if they control the senate. That's what my understanding is. Nobody guarantees anything could be Election Promise but Would be happy if Dem controls the Senate. At least there is hope at the END of the Tunnel. @ Mangale bro i work with an IT provider who has promised but not delivered my pathway from TPS to GC. Filling I-140 is taking forever as this consultant is milking me away. So don't know but I need to visit back home for a special reason in the Summer and be able to be back before TPS Expiration. Wanted to take the safe and sound road. Although Risk is always there at least I wanted to do my due diligence before taking such a risk. Any suggestion in Prep and time length would be highly appreciated.

@Hanuman1 Thank you, Bro, that's what I thought All I need during traveling is an Advance Parole approval notice and Federal Register Notice. I don't need to show an EAD TPS card. My driver's license has been expired. Should I renew that first before sending the documents to USCIS bcoz the expired License doesn't make sense? So the first step would be to get a Valid Drivers license Some of the information according to the previous post : 1. Download form I -131 and fill in the general information section and only the Advance Parole section. You do not need to fill the section for Re-entry Permit and Refugee/Asylee. 2. Make a check of $575 to US Homeland and Security. You do not need to submit any fee for biometrics since you are on TPS. 3. Photocopy of your TPS. If it is pending, you must include a copy of the receipt notice (Form I-797C) showing that USCIS accepted. 4. Photocopy of your unexpired passport. Your passport must not expire in the next 6 months. 5. Photocopy of your driver's license or state identification card and EAD card if you have any. 6. Two passport size photos. 7. Where to send the application along with other documents: For U.S. Postal Service: USCIS P.O. Box 660167 Dallas, TX 75266 For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries: USCIS Attn: I-131 TPS 2501 S. State Hwy. 121 Business Ste. 400 Lewisville, TX 75067 8. If you want to receive an email or a text message that a USCIS Lockbox facility has accepted your Form I-131, complete Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance and attach it to the first page of your application. you dont need EAD to travel , Advance Parole is like a visa. For airport your Nepalese passport will work no need Driver license but I recommend renewing DL when you have chance. Long online queue for DL renewal. if I were you, I would do this. 1: Schedule for DL renewal ASAP 2. Send AP applications on or after Dec 31 Traveling on AP is easy, no need to scare, I have seen people travel three times with TPS AP.

Thank you @Muna1987. Just a quick question of how important is the driver's License for Applying for Advance Parole. Mine is about to expire and I went to renew my license which I believe will be complicated on the state level as they have relied on the federal notification and following the sajha thread it does seem to take a long in RMV to validate that piece of information and delay my renewal of drivers license. Instead of waiting for the driver's license real id renewal can I send all other documents. How important is a driver's license for Advance Parole. I think should they look at my TPS EAD card for my validity in the USA rather than my driver's License. I will definitely make a new one but I just don't want to delay sending the application.

One of my friends...... This is a funny way of starting a thread. It is even funnier when the OP totally forgets that he is asking the opinions on behalf of his friend in his/her posts that follow. LOL!

@ The Thamelean, How ironic that you read the post just to find out if it was mine or my friend. Maybe you might be not close to one to understand the problem life has brought. If you are close to someone then you would already know what a person has already tried and you are almost familiar with the situation because you are here to help the person with all the info. I don't have to explain to u but appreciate reading the issue and at least u had LOL.

card_chaiyoo, Yes, I read most of the post that starts with 'one of my friend...' If I were you, I would not hesitate to post the question as my own, if it were for my dear and close 'friend'.

@butternut_squash. Just a quick question doesn't advance parole give you time length of travel. Between What time to what Time you can travel is it an open date with an expiration date. I don't have seen an advance parole document. Applying for the first time So I don't know how did this will look like. @sajha_sadasya. When did you travel and how long have u been in Nepal. Any specific reason you wrote for a reason to travel ??Would appreciate it if you share a little bit of your side of the story. Applying for the first time so need to make a trip this summer.
