One of many suprise was there are plenty plenty of expensive cars in karhmandu and outaide .do u know how much lexus ( land cruser) cost in nepal? While a full option lexus is around $80k in usa and people mostly finamce it . But same car cost around 6 7 crore in nepal and there are plenty of them.

Lower middle class drive tata nexon Ev suv which cost around 80 lakhs starting price. Well there are bmws , merceds jeep and what not? While the condition of road remain same or worst?

While nobody rides most reliable camry and corollas . Here is US most of us ride decade old cars . Peraonally i never had buyed a new car in my life . For me car is just a means of commutment from point A to B.


Buying 2 land crusers in nepal is equivalent to selling all my entire property.

My question is , how nepalis afford so expensive car with no easy financing facility like in US and meidan household income is just around 4 lakhs per YEAR?

Also , i am very happy about one thing , all new taxis are EV taxis and government has said by 2027 all old taxis must convert to EV. By 2023 it seems katmandu will be free from non EV vehicles . Also air pollution has significently declined in kathmandu .. this is very positive .
