No wonder why Nepal is one of the least developed countries. We argue about stuffs taht are not even relevant..mud slinging ...accusing each other is just a sorry excuse to ones frustration we hold...someone wants to play with their sajahites mind posts msg like...this caste is crap..and guess we get ..tons of people justifying who is good and who is bad..I mean if we all think those assumptions were bad in the first place then why do we even nned to respond... we have trouble makers who think bahuns are superior..and other nepali brothers who blame misery of nepalis to bahuns...the main thing is we all are responsbile for thinking like this.. ofcourse we have some cultural differences but it doesnt mean ..we need to argue over it again and again..history has proven that we can live together.. I read a post earlier...and it blamed Bahuns for establishing ..jaat bhaat..sati system..in 17 the century..oh well...fair enough..at that time ..they did what they thought was GOOD..don tknwo if it was right or wrong..but thats what they do..lets deal with it..now why we have to cry over a spilt mlik..WHY? anyway, lets stop this man..this should be hurtful to lot of people..I hope people dont respond agreesively to controversial comments often raised by troublesome individuals who do this just for some cheap entertainment...lets act little better...or else we will still be in the bottom.. P.s although my roots makes me a chettri...and I am really proud of my heritage.my first and foremost..attribute is being nepali..and everything else is secondary.. adios

Exactly! Nepal could be one of the most amazing countries in the world, but due to our hatred of OUR OWN people we will never succeed. Why does it matter who your father was? Shouldn't we all be judged because of ourselves, our actions and our beliefs? Isn't that the fundamental distinction of democracy?

I concur! Let us all get out of racism and start building the future where people are judged by their character and actions not by their color or race. Let peace rule again! NepaliChora

I used to live in Noth York until last year. The apartment was great and on 19th floor but I really didnt like too many Jamicans and other black dudes buazzing around . Since then I moved to downtown Toronto, near to Bloor street. I feel good not to see much "black brothas" around here. Woo.lala.....Little Tibet !!!! Looks like there should be a pletny of opportunity for "One Night Stand". May be I should hang around any discos around there if I ever get an opportunity ...ha ha ha Well, the 2.25 $ pizza is an awesome pizza. It's not less than a great meal.

Thats Christie/bathrust area... anyway, I dont know that they need. I have found really cool people in the Tibetan community and at the same also met some people who have that "Boudha mentality" if you know what I am talking about. But Tibetan population is crazily on the rise in toronto....Also, like us they have this rivalry going on...Tibetans from Nepal vs tibetans from India...they dont like each other, I heard.

Yes it's true....right next to Koreatown, it a weekend heaven for all sorts of things. Do you mean "Boudha mentality" here ...like a gang gathering at some corner store getting drunk or gambling and doing stupid stuffs here or something ?

I think it is natural to discuss about the social justices and enequalities between the races and ethinicities. We should not use racial slur but should be able to discuss about it so that every each ethnic group or races gets it's fair share of risks and benefits from the states as well as gets more awareness on what social practices are outdated with the progressive and contemporary societies. We should not ignore it.. as we make our social changes with the time..

Casey00, For one who started this thread, supposedly against castism, mudslinging, and what-not, here you are having this casually racist conversation in public. What was your position on castism and mudslinging again--that, with the exception of your special self, it is morally untenable for others to indulge in it? Carry on, sistaz, don't let us disturb the enlightened conversation!

netazneta Read my lines as many times as you want but still you won't get any smell of hatred or racism. You are being overly sensitive of the matter and if you ask me its not even an issue. Bharasta Neta, was asking me the condition of Tibetans in Toronto and I merely gave him the glimpse of what its ok. Ofcourse, I don tlike to judge people and I haven't said anything that is judgemental...All I said was.. Tiebtans have conflict between them and they are rowdy about it...They admit it..they dont like each other..it has nothing to do with me..We, Nepalis have the same problem as well..and even though I love my Nepali bro/siss..I am ready to take the blame...as a whiole...Dont get me wrong dude...I am not trying to hyprocritical..it may have just come out that way...and even if I did..I sincerely apologize to your for hurting your sentiments...it was directed to be racist at any time.. P.s I am DUDE..Casey is a male's name...You learnt something positive today, jokez ;)

Casey00-ji, I believe your sincerity and respect the fact that you had the bigness of heart to apologize. I too am sorry for any hurt I might have caused you. As for your assertion about my post being overly sensitive and such, I will let the record speak for itself. Let's move on, it is getting late, and tomorrow is another day. Suva Ratri!

Yo Chilluns! Why them you talkin about them Race and Caste? Them it not nice to talk about them things. It not very good for Developmen and Democracy in da Kingdom and Nepalian Peopal. You is still not learn? When my fada was young him talk about it to my granfada. My granfada talk to his friend who them is different race (higher race of da kingdom). Now him my granfadas friend call my fada and angry at my fada. Him tell my fada that him is read many many more books than my fada and granfada combine. Him bring all them book and explain my fada that god is become angry if my fada talk like that. My fada said them god is always angry with I and I ( lower class ) Peopal anyways. Now him my granfadas friend think. Now him say When god get angry like this god tell him Majesty that you is not being religion peopal. And when him Majesty know that him gonna kick yo marbles so baaad! than you not gonna be able to make littal Rasta in da future. Then him my granfadas friend make my fada do Namastey to all peopal of his house. My fada very angry. Because him my grandfadas friend never do no namastey to my granmoda and other peopal. So Chilluns of da Kingdom our developemen and democracy is survive good when we is not talk about those bad things like race and inequalyy of da kingdom and culture.

All hail, Rastafariya dudette! According to your supreme wisdom--which you inherited from yo illustrious fada and granfada, god bless them's souls--the development of our nation and even democracy and culture depends on us NOT talking about "bad" things like race, caste, and inequality. Point well taken, dudette. From now, we stick to sucking them bongs, meow, and entering your quietist paradise: ignore all problems and they cease to exist! Thank you, oh, thank you! I and I's will forever be indebted to your brilliant guidance! Now I realize who your dreadlocks remind me of. No, not that visionary champion of the downtrodden, but ... Bobby Mcferrin! Yes, having solved our problems so easily, us Nepalis could then all hold hands and sing "Don't Worry/Be Happy" (or some such), with big smiles on our faces, the kind the tourists find so childlike and endearing!

If we not have them nice race system them would not be nice democracy like our kingdom. How nice them all ministers, Sachivs, Adhyakshas all uniformity from da same race and even from da same family. You not know how them all da Ranas nice nice big big posts? You not know how them Great dynasty of da Vishnu Avataar is nice? You not know how them nice Koirala peopal is nice run them democracy? What them you talk ? You not knowing nothing birader!
